Ha thanks Jamie. I nearly went over and that wouldn't have been good! with no spare hand I think it would have been camera followed by face first lol!

HI Geoff great to see you back out there hope your safe and well. Images superb as always but my favorite is the single tree image with all the copper colour with that blurred foresty background, be a good print, best wishes.

Thank you Mark, I'm doing well, I seem to have shifted the melancholy that has been hanging over me for a few weeks, getting out doors and some fresh air I suspect has helped more than I care to admit. Your favourite image from the video is mine also. Already got it printed, framed and about to go up on the office wall. Will upload to flickr at some point so folks can enjoy it at a larger size.

I really like that second image Geoff, I can see what you meant now about having the woods as a backdrop and it worked really nicely! Thank you for sharing your wellie incident as well, very much appreciated 😂. Hope you’re holding up ok with the workload atm, I’ve just got home from the end of two busy weeks at work and watching this with a beer was a great way to unwind, so thank you very much! Sam

Thanks Sam, I'm glad you enjoyed my dancing, I'm quite good at it now. As mentioned work has been full on, but currently enjoying 2 weeks off work at home, so basically only thing that's changed is I'm not working :) However, I was supposed to be up on Skye, alas this couldn't happen for obvious reasons, so thought it, try to make the most of the free time and get outdoors, in what feels like ages. Speaking of beer how outrageous is this... I had a bottle at 16:45 yesterday afternoon, when I got home from a country walk! I shocked myself I think.

Well done Geoff, of the two finalised images my preference was the first with the left hand tree leaning into the frame.

Thank you David. Its still growing on me. I might change my mind in due course on the image I prefer. For now "Forget Me Not" made the print and frame for the home office.

Great vlog Geoff. Love the image at 10:55

Thanks Jason. Appreciate you taking the time to comment. That image has done very well for me with several orders for prints being made so quite chuffed with it. Fingers crossed I'll get out and shout (locally) again soon.

@@mikeysteam Thank you, I have to admit its a selfish pursuit for me in the first instance. A reward for the long hours worked each week, and then somewhat cathartic producing the videos for others to watch and hopefully enjoy.

Great video and photographs as always. Love your channel and yes I would love to see you do videos showing your post processing techniques that would be awesome! I’m actually thinking about picking up a K1 mark II
@GeoffMoorePhotography2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Harry. I can't recommend the Pentax K1 enough bang for buck there isnt a DSLR out there that offers as much functionality and quality as the K1, the mark ii version has some very slight improvements over the mk1 in relation to focusing speed etc... but with a slight drawback if you are going to be doing low light astrophotography in that it does bake in a little noise reduction that you can't switch off. The K1 doesnt have that. Even with that said, I doubt anyone would even know or spot it the NR unless you are dedicated to that ganre of photography. Regards the post processing... I have thought long and hard about this... adding it in would exponentially increase the video production times for me, but also, my post processing is so very much in the moment rather than planned and repeatable.. I'll give it some further thought and see if its something that I can fit in, even if its general.. Thanks for taking the time to watch and I enjoy my other videos and the ones to come. Geoff.
@harryv22972 жыл бұрын
@@GeoffMoorePhotography Thanks for the recommendations and advice Geoff, I really appreciate it. As far as post processing is concerned, I think that your thought process on a particular image is what will be intriguing, so for me, it doesn’t have to be something that is repeatable, but rather the why you are processing it the way you are processing it is. Of course this is total up to you 🙂 Cheers and keep up the great work. Looking forward to your next video. Harry

@@GeoffMoorePhotography Ah yes indeed. Unfortunately it's not easy to get up there as it's private. I've been up once and managed to take some snaps with my phone but would love to be able to spend some time with a DSLR, tripod and to be out on the balcony and not behind glass.

@@sccjono I did think about approaching the WCC as from my understanding its a residential block and seeking permission from them on it. Failing that happy to gift someone £50 for a couple of hours access; if any residents are watching :) - Looking at the new on the place, security was tightened due to vandalism/trouble by youths a while back! , Such a shame.

Great to see a familiar face doing a vlog Geoff and an enjoyable one too. I do enjoy woodland photography, although its pretty tough to come away with anything unless the conditions smile upon you , such as snow/frost or fog. A great edit at the end too.
@GeoffMoorePhotography3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Steve. Yeah, conditions I think are everything with the woodland. That little bit of snow I enjoyed made the scene and composition for me. Just been watching my exploits on a 50" TV. Dam that last image is better than I thought lol
