I really appreciate your videos you 15:11 really rock!! What classification is the property zoned?I'm looking at coastal property at this time mountain in the future. What would you suggest the minimum acres to purchase when looking for property in the mountains for a project such as yours?Great job guys

It's important to note we are on unrestricted land zoned R4, I believe. Originally, it was a few hunters' cabins and out buildings when we bought it. We only needed permitting for the utilities and septic and the deck the dome is on. We're pretty rural out here in an unincorporated part of town, we chose this property based on being able to build our plans. We made sure not to set our hearts on an area or even property type. The goal was to find the property that fits our goals and try the build and they will come method lol 😄

The radiant barrier usually is on the outside. I would double check with the manufacturer and turn it around if they call for it.

We purchased the dome at the glamping USA show and it was floor modeled so we got to see it up, the quilted side acts as your interior walls. The canvas itself also acts as a barrier with UV material and the reflextics helps to deflect the sun light that shines through the very white and illuminated dome cover. Thanks so much for watching and commenting your suggestions 😊 if we didn't get to witness this being put up and taken down at the show we would be so stumped.

This is brilliant going to do the same in our next trudome, have you had any problems with condensation dripping from skylight?
@NaturesNear4 ай бұрын
We have nit have this issue however we run a dehumidifier 24/7 I think that's the trick.

It looks very good. I wonder what type of fabric is draped over the insulation material. It looks really nice

Thank you it feels like a microfiber it also says 7 layer jute material so maybe more of a bamboo. Not sure but it looks and feels awesome also easy to clean. I have already gotten some makeup and sticky hands on a little water and a clean rag takes everything away. I love @trudomes.

My main worry with a build like this is condensation.
@NaturesNear Жыл бұрын
We did worry about that too, but honestly, we only get condensation on the outside. I can't explain the material of the canvas, but we had it installed for weeks before putting in the insulation, and even then, it didn't sweat on the inside. We do have an exhaust fan and humidifier installed inside to help with dampness or humidity, though it is not hooked up yet as a precaution . It has been installed now for more than 3 months, we haven't had any issues. We even stayed at a few to get a feel for them before purchasing. I would definitely recommend that if you are thinking about it, go for it. 😊

do you guys ever get condensation between the first layer of reflective skin and the PVC cover. In my dome, whenever I run the wood stove, entire PVC skin behind the liner gets super wet due to condensation, scared that it would cause mold issues in the future

We have a dehumidifier that runs constantly, and it's plumbed through the floor. Only during really cold temperatures we will get a few trips around our window. However, the sun beats on it and dries it out over a few hours. We also opted not to do a stove and have a mini split, which keeps it super regulated. I think it's the difference in hot and cold temperatures that causes it to be really soaked. I will also have my husband add to this 😁 if you watch our videos he's the brains lol.

@@NaturesNear thanks for the reply! And thanks for filming your journey of building the dome! it helped me and my wife big time building ours!

Do you need great insulation for summer ? I have 90 ferinhight.
@NaturesNear6 ай бұрын
Yes, since insulation helps to regulate the air inside, whether hot or cold. You want to keep cold air and hot air out.

@@NaturesNear TY for shearing. Bummer. I was really hoping for the panoramic view for my office. But at least now I don't have to figer out if I would have to make terasaile to dodge the sun/glair on monitors. thanx again
