I think y'all are declaring your shooting phase reactions a bit early. "once the active player has resolved all to hit and to wound rolls, and armour saves are made, but before any damage mitigation rolls are made or casualties removed, the reactive player may choose to expend one of their reactions for that phase to have the unit targeted by the shooting attack either return fire or evade" (Age of Darkness Rulebook, pg. 160)

I believe the shotting reaction was FAQ. You now have to declare your reaction before any shots are fired. I would link you the FAQ it was in, but the GW website is broken as per usual.

Wait, how did I miss this? Destroyer Ultramarines? Yes plzzzz. Hold the gate scenario? This should be friggin awesome! Just a few rules notes on the Ultramarines after the opening army overview. 1 - Burden of Kings - You get a reaction in any phase of the turn. So movement, shooting or assault with the Praetors unit only. Not in each phase. So you can still only react once in that turn, just in any phase. 2 - The Ultramarines Legion trait is per model NOT per unit. It is very important to remember this. You may have a unit with only a few models getting the +1 bonus to hit.

This channel never fails to showcase great armies. I doubt I'll see my armies here sincei play them pre primarchs armies I have are Warborn aka ultra marines Storm walkers aka iron hands Imperial heralds aka word bearers Dusk raiders aka death guard War hounds aka world eaters I paint them all in their original legion colors and heraldry. The onky army somewhat current is my imperial heralds and war hounds since they are tied to one another through argal tal and kharn.

Chapters existed in the Legion days. It wasn't until after Horus Heresy did Guilliman divide the Legions into independant Chapters(unless their Primarchs were around).

Fairly standard house rules for games over 3k pts is 1 HQ per 1000 pts allowed.
