I had almost lost faith at track turbo miatas because of reliability issues, yours seems solid so far. Impressive oil-water temps also.!

Temps are thanks to quality coolers and good logging/monitoring. Lots of people struggle when they start working a Miata hard at the track, especially with turbo power. I think it takes a lot of persistence and commitment and you can't really cut corners if you want it to stay reliable.

Thanks for the ride. Did you notice much change with the handling? She's zipping around nicely - lotsa fun to be had. Back to the workshop, I presume you're using a top brake fluid anyway

No perceivable change to the ride quality, but certainly no increase in vibration or harshness. A mildy sharper and more distinct feel to the suspension - not a night and day change that I can detect. :-)

Thanks Reilly. Essentially it's just many years of practice. From sim driving at home to many track days putting laps on the clock.

Always had the fluid boiling? What kind of fluid? Did the brake upgrade help much? Great wid!

This was a basic off the shelf fluid - sadly all I had at the time. I'll swap to a higher temp rated Motul fluid for the next event. The larger brakes did wonders for thermal capacity, much happier with these.

@@demon1954 It was the 'sporty' Castrol Dot4, in the range of $14 for 500ml. I should be (and now do) use something like Motul RBF660, circa $50+ for 500ml. Its much better. But the car is fast and with enough laps the brakes do still soak with heat eventually.

That turns in soooooo hard. And stops soooo fast and short. You must need big "harnesses" to withstand the G forces. Seems to be bogging down out of slow corners. Have you fixed that since?

I know miatas aren't fast, but you make them look like they are standing still! Lol. Have you dont a standing quarter or 0 to 100km 0to60mph run?

This is not really a quarter mile type of car. And, don't forget this car is a Miata too!
