There is an incident in Malta at the moment where an American woman has an incomplete miscarriage. Doctors will not abort because fetus has heart. The woman was getting infected and sick so she was flown to Spain. I feel sad for her because they were celebrating a pregnancy that was wanted.

“Failed contraception” needs to be understood - my mother was using two different forms of birth control when she got pregnant with me. -No birth control is NOT 100% effective. It is not always irresponsibility of adults when they end up pregnant, Like some have mentioned here in the comments. I would like to add, I am grateful my mother had a choice on if she should/could keep me. The people that are wanting to take away the rights - need to step up and adopt one of the millions of children that are already on this planet that have no security or love. Who is forcing or compelling a woman to have a child? Most women get pregnant because they want to. They love their partner and want a child. @@siphomnisi3842 there's a lot that they probably intentionally hide, the entire pregnancy is only in some states, but the reversal of Roe vs Wade only means that is up to each state, so far as far as I know only Texas has banned abortion, the other states have different terms, I heard Mississippi allows it up until 15 weeks and they're among the conservative states, the liberal states like Colorado and New York allow abortion until delivery and the overturn of Roe vs Wade doesn't affect this at all, each state can do as they please.

If she hadn't made that decision i would have lost her 33 years ago and my brother wouldn't have been born after 6 years. My mom lived a blissful life with us and passed away 4 years ago. We remember her presence at every moment.

This is the whole reason why I'm considering becoming sterile and adopting a boy, I wanted to a boy and a girl of my own but after roe v wade has overturned that will not happen, I cannot see bringing a girl into this world where her rights have been stolen. What's even more scary is the US government will be going after abortion pills next, as far as I know it's just regular abortions and not the pills that they've banned. Utah has also completely banned abortions as well and the last planned parenthood was closed within the last week or so. The governments is also trying to pass a law where you cannot jump state lines to get one or the woman will face a fine and jail time. Think about it A WOMAN FACES JAIL FOR HAVING AN ABORTION, if sounds crazy thats because it is but there are individual states are working on a laws to make it possible. Saying some group believes they have the "right" over a woman's body, is such a skewed perspective, given no one has a "right" over anothers body or mind. It's based on preserving life, stopping the cessation of life as it is defined, murder in some minds. The structure of the constitution is such that those persieved individual or group entitlements not delineated in the constitution are deemed not a constitutional issue, therefore not appropriate for adjudication at the supreme court level, and by the recent decision, has been passed back to individual states where it should have been handled originally. So rather than spending all the time and effort contesting the supreme court decision, spend the effort presenting your case for or against to your state legislatures and try to persuade them to pass laws supporting your position. We can't ignore the positions on the issue are diametrically opposed and as such both sides can't have their way, some side will not get their way and must temporarily abide by the decision they disagree with and reformulate their approach to persuade their state legislatures to change the law they previously passed. Then the other side must do the exact same thing trying to overturn a decision they don't agree with, and the process repeats itself forever because there really is no middle ground. I know a girl whose father died when she was in her mother's womb. Her mother was not even ready to hold her after she was born. The girl was raised by her old maternal grandparents as the mother wanted to move on in her life and didn't want to have any ties with her. I have never seen her father's family around. But if she agreed upon the action and gave her consent into the very thing that may later result into,her getting pregnant. She had made her choice. She should not have any right to abortion. Because Sex is a choice and pregnancy is the result.. If sex was forced she has the right to abortion. But if sex was her choice.. pregnancy is her responsibility.. not a choice for abortion.

It is ridiculous how some ppl are telling women can't have sex for pleasure whereas men are free to do whatever they want . I don't want to make it a men vs women thing but aren't men equally responsible for pregnancy why are women being denied of their rights . Its highly important like women education, stopping child marriage etc. But also cannot agree with everything you said about abortion. I am a medical professional worked in India over 11 year and now abroad. When we speak about abortion we try to raise the issue of rape, medical emergencies, teen pregnancies etc to make it acceptable. But sorry to say majority of abortion is done on healthy viable babies who doesn't fall into any of the above said categories. Majority of abortion are performed when women are above the age of 20 years. Millions of abortions are not recorded. I knew some clinics in dakshina kannada performed abortion without making any proper records. Take the statetics of abortions by age group. Among them how many were medical emergencies or due to rape.. Contraception is not always reliable. People do protect themselves but sometimes birth control fails them. Then are they irresponsible to go abort even though they took precautions that failed? Wade was decided in 1973, not 1953, and that while women may be the most significant group affected by the abortion debate, they're not the only ones. Children forced to be born, who may either live very short, painful lives due to diseases but laws prevented their mothers from abortion, as well as children from unwanted births, who oftentimes are neglected or resented, or abused by their families, if their family doesn't put them up for adoption or abandon them, and those who do will probably go into an awful, abusive system and not get adopted. There are always exceptions for the luckier kids, but in many countries, this is the norm.
