Hi, I am from Vladivostok, my Chinese friend sent me this video that the Russian embassy has posted. The Chinese have always talked about my city as of something they lost to Russia long ago. The now Primorsky krai region is different as it was a Qing Chinese tributary territory of korean-machurian nature and a bit of Ainu mixed in in the north. The territory was scammed in 1859 and Russia formally annexed the former trade condominium in 1860 at which point the Qing Government still had no clue they had been set up. Now there was a passive contra-isolationist understanding between Russia and China in which China would tolerate Russia's claim while Russia would tolerate China's claim on Tibet. Strategically it wasn't exactly smart to now claim back Heishenwei though it had been undisputably korean-chinese for like forever so it's justifiable considering the scarce population of the area nowadays on top of that.
