The hearts wall hanging is beautiful. I love the wavy line quilting. Your postcards are also marvelous. You’re an artist. The cards are very interesting combinations of shapes and colors and are fun to look at which is what makes you an artist. I lived in Miami for 3 years a long time ago, 30 years?, and I remember the rain. I still call a certain kind of rain Miami Rain, when it seems to be more water than air. Maine now is like living in a snow globe. It’s not a huge amount of snow but it’s frequent. I bought a chair from Staples recently that’s like black mesh. I waited til it was on sale. I figured it would be cooler in the summer and I could cover it in the winter.
@rsislandcrafts Жыл бұрын
Thanks Susan. I have a leather chair and it’s brutal during the summer if I don’t put something down to cover the seat. I’ve spent a few hours looking online at chairs and I give up. With the prices I don’t want to take a chance of buying a cheaply made chair or one that isn’t comfortable for me. We have an office max and a staples nearby. I’ll have to start popping in and testing out a few chairs. Once I know what I like I can always keep an eye online for a sale price.

Thank you for your video. I visited the Wildgrain Bread Box link but, unfortunately, I am gluten intolerant and can no longer eat any breads containing gluten. I love sourdough bread and have not found a good GF sourdough bread that I like. Fortunately, while watching this video, I was eating homemade green chili tamales that my daughter bought from someone who makes locally. I am grateful that I can still eat corn and so many other foods that I love!
@rsislandcrafts Жыл бұрын
Thank you for clicking the link. That really does help out a lot. Gluten allergy issues is a tough one. I’m allergic to milk and soy which makes buying bread difficult. For whatever reason sourdough usually doesn’t have either which is a plus.

Hi Robin, I think every time is heart-time. One can not have too much hearts around. That cute little mugrug in orange is my favorite. If there weren‘t those awful tarifs for sending them to Germany… Bread I love, especially when it is freshly baked, but I don‘t eat it anymore. I am diabetic and don‘t eat any carbohydrates. No bread, no pasta, no potatoes, and no rice. Without those carbs I don‘t need insulin any longer and my glucose levels are as low as possible. I am proud to treat my diabetes without medication, although I sometimes long for a good fresh slice of bread. Of course bread is always in the house because my husband eats it every day. We live so close to France, and they make very delicious bread, too. And yummy croissants, and, and, and. But they make very delicious cheese aswell and I can have all of them. So I eat sandwiches without the bread😅. With love, Berit

I agree. Hearts can be year round. I wish shipping wasn’t so expensive. It stops everyone from being able to buy pretty things and necessary supplies.

Love the heart mug rug, is there a pattern or a sew along for it? You do such beautiful work!

@@rsislandcrafts thank you for the pattern link, just finished making one and I used your single fold binding, I had not heard of it before. I always have trouble with bindings, but this time around using your instructions my binding turned out ok

@@ladiehawk You’re very welcome. I’m glad my video helped. It took me a few mug rugs to get my single fold binding to where I liked the outcome. Just like anything else we do.
