That would be fun to look at but It would probably be too large. I think I need a map that covers the main section of the continent. I can see in my analytics which countries view my videos and I don’t think I’ve seen anyone from Russia and Russia takes up a large chunk of the map. I wonder if we have an other viewers from Italy 🤔. I might need to hodge podge piece together the other countries. We might have a map with floating areas here and there.

When I was younger we lived in Connecticut but spent the summer in Upstate NY. I loved random picnics and cookouts with friends and family. Picking fresh berries and swimming in the ponds.

Robin, have you ever tried Lora Coia's (Sew Very Easy) method of making a hanging sleeve with a square of fabric? So easy and clever.

On the corners of the quilts? Yes, I used to do that for years but then for whatever reason I got out of the habit. I keep thinking I need to do It again but I always forget. I think it’s because I don’t hang my minis with a dowel rod so I don’t always think of It beforehand.

I like to think that America has citizens who derived from every country in the world, which makes us like a big family. I’m glad you have Maine on the map. I love that spooky Halloween quilt. The colors are distributed so perfectly across the quilt. The random free hand quilting suits the Halloween theme somehow, looks like ghosts. You sewed the letters beautifully. Do you just have to sew the letters slowly and carefully? I always make a mess of that kind of sewing. Halloween was my favorite holiday when I was a kid because I loved dressing up.

That’s what I was thinking. Someone from each state. I’m so happy you like the Halloween mini. I think I need to make a second one for myself. I used to worry about sewing the letters perfectly but I don’t worry as much nowadays. The spooky letters were perfect because if they are a bit wonky It adds to the Halloween theme. I stitch around once doing my best to stay even and make sure each letter is sewn down well. The next time around it’s more freehand and not in a straight line. I’m going to add It to my videos list so I can show what I mean.

The map is coming along nicely. I might look for a UK version. The Halloween wall hanging is fabulous and should sell quickly. I'm hoping to make some postcards ,on my 'to-do' list - maybe one day soon haha. Not been on holiday for a while now - maybe a 2-3 day trip away in the near future 😎

My favorite holiday is Halloween. Halloween costumes were the initial reason that I learned to sew. I need to make a new running/Halloween costume in the next two months for a race in early September. 😂 Thanksgiving and Christmas come second as primarily family visiting holidays. We have a family tradition of exchanging Christmas ornaments in a White Elephant style pick/steal game where numbers are drawn for picking order with added rules that the gift is not unwrapped until the end, gifts that have been stolen twice cannot be stolen again, young children cannot be stolen from unless they have said that it is ok, and the gifts are unwrapped in picking number order. (There were modified procedures during Covid so that the unwrapping could happen via Zoom.) I provided my location (central Arizona) previously. 😊

I love my random commenters and lurkers. I think I need to find a similarly sized map of the other side of the world. Then I can tuck Australia in at the bottom like we do with Alaska and Hawaii. That way the two maps can hang together. I can add Canada to the top of this map. Okay, things to add to my to do list. Find a map similar in size or one that I can easily shrink down a bit. Second and probably easiest is to find a similar piece of canvas. 🦩

@@rsislandcrafts Why not print one from your computer? There must be free maps of every country available for download. But then again, thinking of how it would work if you have followers from 20 plus countries??? Could be a lot of work for just one or two people. Maybe just a few floating 'blobs' around the edge of the central map would work....Hmmm.

The floating blobs was my first thought. My thought was to print maps from my computer and trace them into a piece of canvas. Before I do that I want to see how many international peeps we have. If only a handful of people speak up then it might be better to add the countries to the main map. If a bunch of people speak up then it’s worth the time to make a second map. No rush. Plenty of time to come up with a plan. I just want everyone to feel included. 💜
