I appreciate your comment that you want to be, “your yarn buddy “ . You know, all I do is work and come home and crochet and listen to KZbin. I’ve been following you since you started and I love your content because it’s like visiting a friend or going to a LYS to stitch and visit. Thank you for keeping me company and making me feel like I am not a lone. It means so much to me! God Bless!

Juan, I'm sitting here listening to you & working on my corner 2 corner. A sweet lady I met thru an online crochet group gave me a bunch of yarn as she was losing her eyesight. I am continuing the c2c blanket she started with this beautiful caron cake. She became a friend, but sadly Ruby died very unexpectedly a bit ago. I love working on this blanket, now it's in honor of Ruby. I definitely consider you my yarn buddy, I only have 1 person who crochets . Thanks for everything❤️🥰

Yes Juan, I very much appreciate you being my yarn buddy. I’ve been crocheting for 55 years and I’ve never had a crochet buddy, especially a left-handed one like me ! No one was into crocheting. Tonight, I was sitting here working on a triangle scarf and had to frog some of it five times. I was so frustrated and upset, and then you came on with your calming voice and calm me down somehow all the stitches worked out with the right count and I moved on from that point. And then you mentioned the part about being our yarn, buddy. I don’t know how to tell you how much that touched my heart and I just wanted to thank you for being here 😊 💚🧶💚🧶💚

Juan, this is my favorite type of podcast. I can either listen while doing something else or I can sit down with a project and enjoy the company. This morning your voice accompanied me as I got ready for church., You were with me when I found my earrings in The kitchen garbage can. I live alone, so don’t get to talk very much. So, I totally identify with you loving to just sit and talk with us. I’m the same way. Period. I am 8.5 years old, and I am legally blind due to glaucoma. However, just like your mom, I still crochet. I am finishing up a beautiful, granny blanket to put into my big. Boggy Brigade container. A rectangular or grain blanket is already in there. The one I am finishing has big blocks of turquoise, purple, yellow, shocking, pink and spring green squares. Where was boarded in white, and I used white to join them. I used your method of joining for the first time, and I have to tell you that I really like it. I only got one square backwards, and that was green. I am planning another big block, granny blanket, but this two solid colors. As you might have guess, color is my thing. I love bright colors, and was surprised to see so many otherwise beautiful blankets done in cars more suited to adults. Kids love color, so that’s what I’m getting them. I have to admit, though that I’m very tempted to keep this one. I just love it.

Hi Juan, In the past, when I was working with an over saturated yarn, I added 1/2 cup of white vinegar & 1/2 cup of salt into a sinkful of very warm water. I soaked my FO for 2 hours. I wrung the FO and rinsed it in cool water. This helped set the color and stopped the bleeding. Then I hand washed the FO in cool water with detergent, rinsed, and soaked in water & fabric softener. It worked for me. I hope this will help you.

Hi Juan. I remembered some avocado colored yarn that was left over from a throw my mom made in the 1970's. I recently looked online to see if that yarn still existed and discovered that it was pulled from the market because the 'mothball' coating was found to cause cancer. I hope that when you discover vintage yarns that you realize that some of these yarns could have chemicals that may have been harmful from years past. We want to see you healthy and present!

Sitting here, crocheting and listening to you is a calming, soothing experience, for which I am very thankful. I wonder if you have ever heard of a crocheted, C2C blanket called Felix? It's a striking blanket, in my opinion, and I believe you could manage it quite well. There are free patterns out there if you or anyone else might be interested. Maybe you've already done it! I don't know. It's just stunning and not a fussy one at all. Please check it out and see if you'd be interested. I've enjoyed our time together. See you soon. Peace and happiness. 💕💕💕
