Wire Wheel Adaptors - How They Work

Knock-off style spokes (aka wire wheels) require an adaptor in order to be mounted on a vehicle.
There are a few different types of adaptors, but the ones in this video are the most common.

We find that folks have a lot of questions about wire wheels; the fitment is different and unique with lots of variables (finish, size, construction, etc).

I need some 22s like the ones that are in the cutlass with the vogues.

Those are 20s--you can do 20s on a Cutlass with a Vogue Tyre. You cannot fit 22"s on that Cutlass with a Vogue tyre :)

No, studs would need to be shortened

In your opinion, do you think 18 inch wire wheel would look too small for 67 impala 4 door sedan? I chose 18's because I was concerned about a bumpy ride with a larger rim /less tire sidewall. Do you think they'll require any spacers due to the large wheel well?

There's no such thing as too small--it's just a different look. We just fitted a '69 Impala with 18"s, check it out on our instagram page. No spacers will be required for your 67 Impala 4-door

I would like to put gold 3 blade knock offs on my wire wheels. Are they all the same thread and size or would i have to replace the adapter also?

Most knock offs will fit most adaptors, you should not have a problem

One of my adapters got stripped on the right side I have 20 inch Dayton style rims can I just order any 5 lug universal adapter or do the sizes change from 13in 20" and up

What is the hp limit for spokes?

There's not really a limit. Just know how the wheels are constructed, an outer barrel with spokes connected to it. High torque driving, like burnouts put stress on the spokes. Proceed with care☺

What adptor do i need so i can put wire wheel on a Mercedes Benz???

I use a regular 15 whole adapter that came with the 20" Daytons I picked up only difference on a Mercedes and BMW is that you have to put adapter on then put the studs in mind for too long had to get some shorter ones I have them on a 02 S500 Mercedes

Needs to be 5x112, also depends on hub size...would have to see if adapters are available. We're having an issue with availability at present
