E cells is such a mess with extremely confusing overpriced, underpowered offerings. Really feels like some slimy car salesman trying to hard sell you and screw you over. You are relying on the reputation of the Owner and company to handle your pre order and then warranty these expensive bikes. E cells gets an F from the BBB and is likely under investigation for tax fraud and not returning people’s money after canceling their orders. E cells still has not shipped a single “Monster” even though they have been holding people’s money (or spending it on new bikes) for many, many months. Wired announced and then delivered the Predator in one month.

Front wheel traction control. An easy thing for someone with controller building skills would be to make a simple comparator circuit that would track the RPM of the two motors and anytime the rear report was higher than the front it would either reduce or interrupt the signal to the front controller.....it would also probably be pretty easy to make the amount of interaction user adjustable so that when riding on the street in rain you could set it very aggressive but when playing around in a straight line you could just let it spin. And yeah as aircav said a linear throttle instead of the on/off type they come stock with.

Most AWD eBikes have two controllers. One for the front motor and one for the rear, so why not have a separate throttle for the front motor on the other side of the handlebar? That way you have ultimate control over both wheels in any situation or conditions. Rain hail or shine, off-road, uphills, on beach sand, anywhere. That's what I did with my bike that has 1,000 W front and rear. Works great!

I'm still not decided on the Aniioki A8 ProMax DM vs Wired Cruiser w/Citizen FWD Kit. I know they are very different bikes, but both seem to have a lot of strengths as urban commuters. I'd like to lean toward Wired (seems like better overall quality and real response from mfr for issues as they come up), but a thing as small as turn signals are an issue. I know after market ones can be had, but in my experience, these tend to be pretty unreliable and I would not like to have safety related lighting that doesn't run off the bike's actual battery.

I got EMX based on this channel review. There is so much excitement in these review, on any bikes, that it affects people's decision. These bikes with 1000w+ with torque sensor (which I thought will work similar to mid-drive bikes) have one big flaw nobody talks about - they have %% support of _available_ power. It is NOT based on your power AT ALL. Any pedal effort you do, will get you whatever power it is setup to give. And there is no way to something like - I want to double my effort pedaling, no power meter to decide how to help. I set 0-9 levels with level 1 only 5% and it is still too much and, in case of EMX, throttle is not following level (half-throttle does but twist is short to be accurate). Second flaw is yes, you can pedal, but you will not. I am 5'6 and on tallest setup EMX (stock post 300mm), I am way off from pedal-able seating position. Ordered 350mm seat post and it is still not enough. So, here it is, for anybody who thought they can pedal these ebikes like road/gravel bikes - you will not, because few pedal strokes will give you over 20 mph in seconds, so it is pedal ON / pedal OFF until you get tired of this and just throttle. And setting speed limit (for example those 20 mph) will cut power completely or you will go above safe speed limit. No fitness benefit at all, unless you turn bike off. Yeah, you can go fast, 30,35,38. But why? Is it a drag race with trail squirrels? So far I did not find setting where you can pedal all the time with 20-22 mph in position that will not kill your knees. Please people, you you are thinking about buying these ebikes, ask current owners to try them or try them in bicycle shops. Love my bosch mid-drive even more.

Disappointed to read this. My EMX getting delivered tomorrow, and I specifically asked them if I can lower the power to pedal hard and keep the speed down. They said you can. wow your completely lost because i have the bike and its completely configurable. like i told the other rider i ride at any speed i want and can control the output very easily. I know what'd be nice. The throttle is really just an off and on switch, right? It'd be nice if it operated by DEGREES, more like a REAL throttle. You CAN get incremental increases in power (or current flow) with the existing set up, but what you're really doing is just taking advantage of short in the system in an effort to indulge in the same effect, right? ... Anyway,... those are my thoughts. P.S. I like the previous fork set up, though I do recognize the need for a stronger for with the additional motor. What do you think. @@NuukWarchuk I think that bike is so ugly. Also I'm not a fan of mag wheels and I like that these motors are high quality.
@NuukWarchuk8 күн бұрын
@@Ebike_Adventures everyone has their opinion, but most people are completely opposite to that. and i hardly think predator motors are so high quality. Lets see where spokes are with so much torque after a few thousand miles, then we will compare to mags. But if you want to compare to predator all you have to see is the Road Warrior for looks and performance.

I have watched your videos and have commented. Again Awd on a bike is a waste. I would much rather have a more powerful rear motor only. Not a 1500 watt rated motor with a 50amp controller but a real 3000 watt rated motor with the appropriate matched controller. My wired 24 goes 40mph and has plenty of power for the trails. 1700 miles on it in one year. It’s a solid bike.

Ya i agree I test a lot of rwd bikes and if you know how to just give it and actually ride these bikes, they can do just about everything

Better to have it all , it’s there when you need it, he just demonstrated to keep up with traffic as well as off road.

I agree, when we compare to the path of e-motos they are continuing to ramp up the power to the rear motor with better suspension and have insane acceleration and ride performance. Would be nice to follow that path instead.

Good test, and you proved why hub motors and off road riding are incompatible. I hope none of your teeth rattled out. However, it would be interesting to see what would happen with good suspension components.
@Altema229 күн бұрын
It's was more a case of proving that bike with that riding style is incompatible with off-roading. I ride single track MBTs all the time with a single rear hub motor, and it does nicely. Matter of fact, I was uninvited from meet ups with a bunch of guys, after I easily did a hill that their BBS02 and BBSHD could not climb.

Considering that there's ebike laws restricting them to 750W (USA), 500W (Canada) and 250W (UK), I'm wondering the usefulness of reviews of high powered Ebikes. Just for discussion. My Ebike is going to be illegal when I get the money to replace the motor.
@BeautyBeastRC9 күн бұрын
Seems useful to me, idgaf about what the laws are and cops are not going to be checking people ebikes for how many watts it has.
@18andlikeit9 күн бұрын
@@BeautyBeastRC the cops will probably be checking your bike out when you're doing 40+mph right in the traffic lane, and not pedaling with no licence plates.
@BeautyBeastRC9 күн бұрын
@@18andlikeit I see a cop maybe once a day if that. I've never seen one while on my bike. I just saw like 8 teens having a group ride all riding around on surrons and moped ebikes without a care in the world. I think cops have more important things to do then worry about your ebike. Unless you're being a tool obviously. Maybe I'm just lucky I live in Colorado.
@chuckwolf98699 күн бұрын
They need to change the laws so that wattage doesn't matter as long as the ebike has functioning pedals that work in conjunction with the motor.
@ecocentrichomestead67839 күн бұрын
@@chuckwolf9869 I agree. Pedals and speed limit are reasonable, but power isn't. low powered e-bikes can be a frustration if one lives in a hilly area or wants to tow a trailer. I don't mind the speed limit for areas where people work or live, but I live in a hilly area and use my bike for shopping. I don't think I'm the only one. And, if more powerful bikes were legal, more people would use them instead of a car.
@blakewallo22018 күн бұрын
All they need to do is make it a 72v system and run the same amount of power or more through a single motor. More volts makes it easier to run more power. Why pay for power you cant use plus add weight.

Going up that hill the second time it looked like you only had front motor running? Seems like you should have less front motor and more rear motor. Somehow, I guess per your recommendation. I’m not done with the video yet, but maybe you should just try that Hill rear motor only.
