Great review, I gave up on wireless headphones/earbuds. The $200 to $300 price tags on wireless, are not worth the 2 year battery life they all give you. You're spending top dollar just to "RENT" a wireless device that will be junk, a throw away, in 2 to 3 years. The industry better figure out the battery life's 2 year drain. Right now, it is a industry rip off, I will remain totally wired for life 😎

Wired is always better. They don’t die out, their cheaper, they have better quality( yes I take sound quality over anc). Active noise cancellation is just a gimmick that you don’t need, and they don’t need to charge. This goes for earbuds too.

Wow, such an informative video. I can tell you truly care about what you do. I am currently shopping for a pair of head phones to use mainly at my computer desk I have some desk space to work with, but I was curious if I could get a decent sounding wireless head phone that would work with my phone. The convenience of wireless is tempting but I don't think I am willing to spend much more than 300 dollars on a pair of head phones that will only last me two years of quality battery life. I normally would just play music on my home speakers but now that I have a baby I am less free to do so. I did not realize I could get a DAC that was small enough to fit in my pocket. I could get a small one for use with my phone and have a larger set up on my computer desk. I have not purchased a dedicated DAC before so I will need to research what to look for when buying one. The speakers I use with my TV are the Kanto YU6 which I believe have a built in DAC. You have given me a lot to think about. Thank you!

When Apple omitted the headphone jack, I was annoyed beyond words. But, now I feel that's the best thing that could have happened to sound technology as I am not limited to the phone's DAC and AMP to give me the experience. Get a BTR5 for portable audio listening or a Topping or Atom stack for home listening. Or something like a xDuoo or HA2 for semi portable listening. Now, opportunities are endless to mix and match and get the best out of your music

If you are a music connoisseur then money is not a problem for you (or at least it shouldn't be). The moment you are prioritising money over experience then you are, like many of us, an average consumer. Good thing about average consumer product is that they cater to wide a variety of people and there are no absolutes. No single headphone is better than the rest and everything is just preference and recommendation. So go find what you think is a good sound FOR YOU. ❤️

Well said, Prasad!
@ALBINO1D2 жыл бұрын
Well, what does it mean to prioritize money? Spending it wisely on a lasting product? Not "worrying" about the price tag only to wastefully throw the tech out a year or two later? Owning products mindfully is arguably PART of the experience. It's not money vs experience. It's just experience.
@prasadt7722 жыл бұрын
@@ALBINO1D No, what I actually meant was when you know the money you spend (even if you are going to spend it wisely on good and lasting product) will enhance your experience but you hesitate because of the price run up. (A good analogy would be, say a very nice Camera gear like Red or something but you are not willing to spend on high quality lenses, gimbal and other complimentary equipment because it will cost you some bucks. Since the camera, Audio equipment market is fairly limited it usually costs more than you expect and that's a sad reality you can't escape, because of economies of scale.) So in actual practicality it does come down to money vs experience. Again, I'm not saying you cannot have good equipment at affordable cost or sustain your hobby, but mind that it can always be enhanced to another level if you are willing to lighten the pocket. So it's just your preference at the end of the day will make you feel good about the experience you love to enjoy.

A used stereo integrated amplifier or receiver from the 1980s, in good working condition, will have a powerful headphone output and sound as good as a new $1000 headphone amplifier. You can generally find them in used record stores, or maybe an older relative has one boxed up somewhere that they’ll let you have. I know this is from a long time ago, but I know there are some wireless headphones that have multipoint connectivity which can be paired to two devices at once. I'm not sure if any can do three at once. That may be something to look into. The only thing is that whenever you switch, you must turn the audio off on the first device and sometimes it takes the headphones a second to figure it out. You would probably be better off with the wired option so that it would be more of an instant switch.
