Great tips! I love Wired2Fish and I run that exact boat except in black instead of the gray.

If you don’t have a heated garage, can you just keep the batteries hooked up to the charger all winter? I have two AMG’s and three Lithiums.

Thank You for the Information. Also in the Winter months remove the batteries & sit them on a Wood surface. NEVER on a Concrete floor. It always worked for me.

Hahahaha, I'm sorry but didn't a crap ton of people die last year around Texas from some 30 degree weather and other states having their representatives take off on Vacations?

@@nathanwoltz8253 well, if you're gonna try to make it political...I'd SURE rather be in a totally Red, Christian, and free state than a socialist, liberal one! Actually, God forbid I'd ever have to...they are all failing anyway. But... my original comment was just to say I'm glad to live where I can ride my Harley year round and I never have to winterize my boats.

So I used my boat once this year and has been sitting since and it's been sitting since do I need to change all my oil and lube ?
@paulrudin59282 жыл бұрын
You said “I keep the batteries on the garage slab”. For people that don’t know, setting a battery on concrete will destroy your batteries. Make sure you put them on a 2x4 or something, if you store them on the floor
@cgschow19712 жыл бұрын
That was true of very early batteries, but that is a myth today with modern batteries. The important thing is to keep the case clean and neutralize any acid before storage. After that, you can put them on a concrete floor, wood or steel shelf, or whatever. They will discharge at the same rate.

Kept a many of batteries on bare cold concrete for months and they hold charge like new.

If I already took my boat off the water (missing the on-water fuel treatment step), and after I install marine Seafoam and maybe Stabil, how long should I run the engine with the motor flush attached in order to protect all the fuel and the engine?
@Wired2Fish3 жыл бұрын
3-5 minutes is plenty of time. Thanks for watching.
@jadonevans27063 жыл бұрын
How do you fog the engine?
@Wired2Fish3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jadon. Fogging four-stroke engines isn't necessary as moving parts remain coated with crankcase oil. Just make sure to use a fuel treatment with lubricating oils to keep the upper cylinder areas well-lubricated if the engine sits idle for an extended period of time. If you have a two-stroke or still wish to fog a four-stroke, this blog presents a good overview: www.mercurymarine.com/en/us/dockline/winterizing-your-outboard/?
