I think this is a great deterrent for would be thieves especially for that price Steve. People spend a lot of money on security cameras that don’t deter and don’t necessarily prevent thieves from doing their thing. This will, at the very least, make them think twice. Good one Buddy!

Hey Steve. That is a great system. I think it would scare off BIG or little thieves. Any kind of noise will chase them away. I'll be getting one for myself and 2 more for my sons. Thanks for sharing.🍁👍👍

Nice find. I'll have to get a set of those. And yeah, simple loud noise to scare off the backyard hooligans is key, and I'll say it'll work on the older theives to since they don't want to wait around for a neighbour to look over the fence to see whats going on.

Thank you so much for this detailed video. I am.lookimg for a door sensor alarm as I have 3 boys under 9 with autism the youngest age 2 most recently escaped!! As you can imagine the entry noise is a top element that dictates if any device is suitable most I have viewd all have the very loud high pitch noise that renders any autistic child in a sensory meltdown and panic so I can't have this every time the door opens!! I have vieed many onlin3 and had to them check the noise it gives on KZbin so as i don't buy one with this feature. In my search I hav3 came across your very descriptive and so helpful video!! Thank you so much for the time you took to make this. You have made one stressed out Autism mum in Scotland a happy woman!! Wish you all the best as you continue to post your videos .

How's she goin'? I was told by the Mounties one time that if you can make it uncomfortable or hard for thieves to break in, then you won't be troubled with them. I think things like this alarm would make it uncomfortable to stay close by it, even up north at your camp. Pretty neat unit too. I like that it is easy to arm and disarm. Take care!!

Mike its definitely not pros breaking into my stuff but many alarms are wifi enabled and send a text to your phone if set off so the regular idiots that would break into a shed dont know it's just an alarm . $20 is a good price for low end criminals:)

Been meaning to get something like this, but your video solidified this particular brand for me. A question: Do you think I'll be able to secure it with an additional screw to make sure it doesn't come off while I'm away? I would still use the 3M tape, but the screw would be for added stability. Also I used to put a “club” on my steering wheel and some would laugh and tell me how easy it is to break or unlock etc and I say any deterrent no matter how small helps because thieves look for the easy theft , thanks again

Yes its crimes of opportunity most times as local police purposely stage vehicles in parking lots at christmas with packages inside vehicle and the doors open catching the criminals looking for a quick grab and dash but end up in a bright orange jumpsuit LOL

Yes just install a block of wood to bring the two sensors inline . 👍

I got a similar unit to put in the van after a crackhead broke the lock and got in. That door's now easy to get in to but the alarm should give them a nice surprise. Mine has a motion sensor, so placing the second part on the door is not required and can be used on anything that moves.

The one I used stated for indoor use but they do make outdoor versions too so a quick search should find some . That's a great safety feature for a pool gate 👍

Andy I dont put links on my channel to sell stuff but yes I bought it off Amazon and as usual Amazon prices go up and down all the time so if you just watch it over the winter it will drop. If it's not being delivered by amazon I pass on it . Check other manufacturers because when I looked so many were identical but had various names on them .

It's too loud just turning it on and off. Will wake people up when you arm / dis-arm it. Alarm being loud is great, but it shouldn't blast you when turning it on and off.

I've only tested it to -28C but all winter for all this time it's always worked. Batteries last 2 years easy and the remote batteriesare still original. Cheers Adam
