You come up with the most practical, readily applicable topics (at least to me) and you cover them thoroughly. Keep the hits coming. Learning so much from them. Now i'm no longer intimidated by packet analysis. Thanks!

Great video. After first checking the external link (like you did), I use two tools to examine the Wifi performance in the house. Firstly, I attach an iPerf3 server (I built one on a Raspberry Pi) into an Ethernet port on the home router. I then connect my laptop to the Wifi on the same home router and start the iPerf3 test on the laptop. Then I just wander around the house and the iPerf3 test shows me the speed between the laptop and the home router itself (ignoring the Internet). The second thing I do (and NOT at the same time as the iPerf3 test) , is run Wifi Explorer Pro on the laptop to see what the radio environment is like inside the house - it shows me if there are strong competing Wifi sources on the same channels coming from adjacent properties.

Great steps for testing the internal network 👍🏽

You might also want to verify if their home router has the firewall turned on, that also could be a cause of network speed degradation.

Good point. If they have a firewall it should be inspected. But usually firewalls are binary in that they either allow the traffic or deny it. Degradation isn’t usually caused by a firewall, it still worth checking
