I am from India. I must say your course and Udemy is 100% better than attending engineering classes for 4 years. Most of the engineering graduates fail to get jobs in IT and end up their career in BPO jobs. Technical education in most engineering college is outdated. They don't have good facilities, faculties to teach. Some of engineering graduates even lost money to online fraudsters.

@@davidbombal -I thank you for the great content and tips... !!! -I forwarded your motivation videos to my best friend a electrician who wants to evolve professionally and change careers, I think he will like networking. -At the end of last year I decided to pursue a career as a Network Engineer, and I bought Udemy courses for CCNA preparation: Andre Iacono course in Portuguese that I finished a few months ago and the courses and bootcamps of the two best graded instructors on the platform I started the course with more lessons because it would take longer and give me more time to study that it was Neil Anderson's course, which I am in the last chapters and without knowing but I am very happy now that I left yours course to be the final preparation before of the CCNA test. -Despite that I had to pause the preparation of the CCNA for the news that Chuck gave in the Monday of the free JNCIA certification test and I ran to do it. -In the they pre-test of it I did with two days of study in Junos 63% but for next week I am studying fast until the end of the month to make the test of JNCIA pass and get the certification and then be able to return to the preparation of the CCNA. -I promise to the colleague that by the end of the year I will pass at JNCIA and CCNA, and be almost at the point of doing the Python tests of Linkedin and Vanhack (employment agency with relocation for my immigration). -Thank you so much for the knowledge and motivation you give us in the videos...!!!

Thank you for this video!! I'm completely new to this and it's made things easier for me. I have a question though; will I be able to map my network using "nmap" while not allowing the members of the "wireshark" system group to capture packets? Because I tried running "nmap" as well, but it would just load for minutes without showing me anything, so I just assumed it was because I had that feature disabled.

Hey David, I just install wireshark on a debian based distribution - MX-19. I install wireshark from the default debian repos, version 3.03... but when I open the app, cannot I cannot see my ethernet interface, eth0 to start capturing! What could be wrong? I can provide screenshot on your ccna 200-301 on Udemy.

@@davidbombal Mac OS or OS X may not be stable on other systems. It's specifically designed for Apple's hardware and chipset. Few modified versions are available to download in some websites. It's like running Windows 10 without licence. Few days later it will not work. Why do we need that? We have already Windows 10 and various Linux distros.
