It kind of looks like it actually does transmit on the 449 for a split second. It almost had to of been or else it wouldn't have connected. 73 and good luck. Mine works fine. haven't really noticed if it does the same as yours or not. I will have to check it out though.

I have a FT2D and when I hit the Wires-X button nothing happens. I see only one band on your radio. Is that the trick? Any necessary settings that have to be set before trying to connect. My FTM-400xdr works fine. I have updated my FT2D to the latest firmware.

make sure mode is set to DN

Hi Sir how do you compare the RX audio output of the FT2D with other handheld radios in FM? how is the airband sensitivity on it. thanks
