"You, me, the kids, Pierce, everybody" Weird to think this actually kinda was a family unit almost for a little while. Meredith, her kids, her sister (plus Amelia), Alex. At one point everyone even lived together in Mers house. And even if Alex didn't have as much of a relationship with Pierce and Amelia it's there in small pieces. Like in Amelia's tumor episode when he was there every step of the way and even rushed to her bedside when she started talking. A strange little dysfunctional yet perfectly whole and beautiful family😭

I lost the love for the show around season 10. My favourites were April and Jackson so when the show ruined them for me, I stopped watching completely. Still, I'm sentimental about it so I read about it online from time to time, but it's not enough interest to actually watch. :')

@@whcares what i've realised recently watching the show again is that i need to acknowledge and accept the ridiculous and the bad parts of it but focus on the good parts, that it's part of this show for a character to be the love of my life in one season and someone i don't care about in another and that's okay because it's still worth it at the end of the day - and besides someone else will fill that space, someone i may not have liked before but now i adore. (& i *am* currently editing grey's actually; it's 5 minutes long, too 😅)

@@Cassaravi yeah you get it!!!! Some storylines might not resonate with me at all, but they might evolve into something i enjoy, on second watch or later on w the seasons. Thats something I learned sitting w this show year after year. The carousel really never stops turning!! And I'm so glad I never gave up on it and kept watching as it aired... feeling the passage of time in a real concrete way is also part of the show works, I suppose. Theres a weight to it for exactly that reason, it's how you really experience the nostalgia of it all. Anyway. Im rambling I'll be waiting for your edit 😊😊😊

@@whcares hahah omg the carousel, it all makes sense 😂 but it's true, for a show with 17 seasons to still keep giving? you feel it, you've been with it for years - after such a time it stops being _just_ a show and becomes an experience you've lived, a part of who you are. of course it can't always be amazing, of course it can't please everyone all the time and that's hard to accept, but there's still life in it as long as someone loves something. i for one am loving the current season and that made me start binging the seasons i was away, i know it's an unpopular opinion and sure some s17 episodes have been awkward but since it came back after the break it's been the very air i breathe; and that's mine to keep, as are all the tears i've cried for it. the storyline i'm editing is very polarising so i'm not sure you'll like it oops you can ramble if you want i not only don't mind, i welcome it. i need it. grey's victims support group 2k21

@@Cassaravi i knowwwww, ive honestly lived my life w show and i cant imagine it without!! It's always been there, even in those moments i wasnt THAT much into it! It's my comfort show. Uh for me it was s12-14 that truly got me going again after the classic s1-5 and the s6-8 golden era. I know people dropped it after cristina left and derek died but thats when I started loving it again a whole lot. Felt like a breath of fresh air. Point is, theres something for everyone out there, it's constantly evolving and changing

goodness i feel like people just forget everything meredith has gone through. the absence of her father in her childhood, a mother married to her job. dead mom, dead step mom, dead dad. failed suicide. her hand was literally in a bomb. watched her husband shot in front of her. one of her best friends died in a bus crash, another almost died from cancer. the death of her sister and mark, and than derek. she really cannot get a break

how do you do this every single time???? how do you make me feel so much for a show and its characters so much, especially when in this case, I only know of two characters in this vid? The way you showed the bond between them all (god especially meredith and alex who truly have been there for each other through EVERYTHING) is breathtaking and the emotions in this video are just stunning. I love this song and always thought the lyrics were beautiful but this cover just made it seem so much more emotional and moving and it fit perfectly with the whole mood of this video!
