She probably went to Northern Wisconsin, where they have the "Fargo" accent influenced by Finnish. We talk way different in Milwaukee. Our accent is mostly influenced by German.

"Loaded for bear" is a common expression in Pennsylvania. The use of "yet" in the manner you described is also common here. It's like "doch" in German, a particle word. Anywhere German has been spoken, or a Germanic language, will have similar usages.

Bwhaha, I moved to Appleton, WI after living in Southern California my whole life. I'm in my mid-forties now. I hear what she is talking about. It seems to be a more northern Wisconsin thing, but I've heard it trickle down to Green Bay and the Fox Cities. The accent seems to be more upper regional, for the "Yoopers" (folks from the Upper peninsula). The other thing that I noticed is that almost everybody from here (Wisconsin) claims that they DON'T have an accent. Good natured ribbing here, hahaha *Sing-songy* yes, youuuu dooo-ooo! Things I have noticed as a newcomer from California- when I first moved here, I thought EVERYONE sounded like they were from the movie Fargo. Not as extreme with all the "don'tcha knows" oh, yah"s and stuff, but there is a definite similarity. "Come here once" is a weird colloquialism I hear out here unique to Wisconsin. Also, adding the words"real quick" seems to be a thing, as in, "I need to show you something, real quick". Another little thing that I noticed that Wisconsinites will do, is they will ask a question and then add the little tidbit, "or no?" to the question, or, an "Er no?" Example, "are we going to go see the Packers tonight or no?" and they do that to make more of a point. Oh! I think it's German, I will hear people say "Uff da!" As sort of an exclamation, I think it is Germanic but I'm not sure. I've been told by people from Wisconsin that I talk really fast. Wisconsinites don't talk slow, but they talk normal pace and they do take the time to talk to you, in California you have to talk real fast to make a point cuz people don't want to stand there talking to you like they do here. They call water fountains "bubblers" in WI, and after a traffic altercation I noticed they call a traffic signal light a "Stop and Go" light. Hahaha and what they call Mexican food out here is not Mexican food.

Probs more of a northern Wisconsin accent. But "b'ay'g" is definitely a thing haha.

Go ahead is another one. Like in directing a driver in backing up a boat. You would tell the driver "go ahead and back up" A Wisconsinite would just proceed to back up. Anyone else would go forward and then back up.

Michigan and Wisconsin and Minnesota too. I'm from Michigan and I drove truck and many times on the CB people would say I was Canadian or a Yooper (person from Michigan's upper peninsula.) We do have a accent, I think it's a combination of Finnish and German and Dutch the predominant nationalities in the region.
