Great video. Most anglers watch videos not just for entertainment but also to learn. Your videos deliver in both areas.

That’s a blue fox spinner (also my favorite). Size 2-3 is best from what I have found

Do the move active fish usually sit above the rapids because everyone fishes for em below during the spring
@Tony_Cass_
@Tony_Cass_ 9 ай бұрын
Not necessarily. It depends more on their feed bag. The more active fish will sit in stronger current seams for short periods of the day to get food rushing down river. Fast tight pockets are a pinch point for all bait, debris, eggs, etc.

That part where you said bobber = boring and switch to spinner was hilarious. Exactly how I feel too.

I very much enjoyed your video. Would be be willing to share where on the Milwaukee River you were fishing? I know you said downtown, and I could see a high rise building in the background, but that could be a lot of placing in downtown. Thanks, I have subscribed, and I will continue to watch.

Do you think that spot under that bridge is seasonal? Like further into the season (now) would you want to go further upstream?

Might be a dumb question. But if you wanted to, could you keep them?
@gerxiong4830
@gerxiong4830 10 ай бұрын
Yea, just needs to be above the length requirement for the section you fish at
@Tony_Cass_
@Tony_Cass_ 10 ай бұрын
Yes you can keep. I prefer to throw them back and let em grow! The only way to sustain a world class fishery is allowing these fish to continue roaming! But yea you can certainly keep them legally, that’s just my personal preference. Thanks for watching!

I live on Vancouver Island and have to fish all winter for a couple of Steelhead, mind you they are ocean run and brutes. I have a question, where is everybody? If I lived there I'd be on the river every time I got the chance. It blows my mind you are in an urban area and it's not wall to all guys. I've watched quite a few vids on the Milwaukee River and I rarely see other anglers standing on the bank.

Hey man, love the videos. Saw you Sunday down at the harbor and did the exact same thing but went down to Racine. Not sure if you were the group with the shanty or the others but there can only be one car with your stickers😂 Keep up the great work and if you manage to find the elusive Milwaukee ice perch I’d love to see a video on it.

I know you’re not gonna stop doing what you’re doing, and keep exposing more people to our fishery. But maybe you could still do us a favor and talk to your followers about river etiquette, like giving space to other fishermen who are already on a spot, or leaving empty spinner packages and balls of braided line on the banks. Thanks 🙏🏽
