Great video. One question, if it’s 100% fluorocarbon why does it matter which size it is? Let me know, thanks.
@Tony_Cass_ Жыл бұрын
Even tho it’s fluorocarbon, the different pound test fluoro has different diameters. High pound test fluorocarbon is noticeably more visible than a smaller pound test such as 6 or 8

The WDNR only clips Rainbows for specific new plants for survivability data, around Milwaukee the only clipped Steelhead have been going into the KK to see if they can start a run on that river. 90% of their Rainbow plants are unclipped. Here's a link to the fin clipping database. www.glfc.org/fishstocking/rangesearch.htm I don't know why but Steelhead fishing just didn't catch on in Wisconsin.

Chuck Farley said it for me. The DNR in Wisconsin doesn’t clip all the steelhead, only certain year classes. So odds are the “natural” fish you caught was just an odd year that didn’t get clipped. Especially considering that creek you’re fishing supports almost no natural reproduction. Wisconsin has very very few true natural fish. Hell of a fish again tho!

I lived in Milwaukee for 42 years and I have always fished steelys and Brown's in the spring and salmon in the fall. I moved 7 years ago to the Driftless Area of Wisconsin and the trout are much smaller but I'll actually eat these fish. You couldn't pay me to eat a fish outta lake Michigan.

First time here. What a brute of a fish ! We have COVID quarantine fishing closures in the Pacific Northwest. So, KZbin fishing vids are part of our home shelter routine. Great videos! I subscribed and liked. Check out my channel and sub for a brother fisherman in the Pacific Northwest. Tight lines !

Consider if you want to expose our great fishing spots guys. I realize the dream to get paychecks from KZbin is huge with your generation but if you weigh the chance of getting enough subscribers in order to actually get money in a bank account vs. 10 guys being in that spot next spring when you wanna go fish there I think it's a no brainer. I used to guide on these streams and quickly realized the mystique of being a guide and the attention one gets vs. all my spots being exposed wasn't worth it. Also, why wouldn't you bring the net down to the river every time you go fishing? Why wouldnt you wear waders when fishing steelhead? Clean up the language fellas. It's just not classy. You guys seem like good guys.

If you have private land surrounding the rivers, it pays to guide. Otherwise people will find and fish any river that is accessible
