@@sahjaniniyonika4089mine was horrible since they were extremely impacted and the recovery took two weeks for me and it was probably the worst pain I was in tbh, since even the doctor told me it was going to be a very hard recovery since they had to scrape deep into the bone and I got No anesthesia and even with the numbing shots in the mouth it didn’t do anything lol like I did not respond, and then I developed a sinusitis. But that’s not to say that it will be bad for you I hope all goes well. 😊

Dr. Upasana pls kindly help me with some advice. I'm suffering with my issues for almost 10 months. My country's healthcare is not that good enough plus I did not have taken treatments routinely also. There had been a lot of gaps in between without any treatment. I'm 23 and I had swallowing difficulty for quite some time. Initially, I thought it is due to some throat problem and I consulted some ENTs who prescribed me antibiotic for tonsilitis as one side of my inner mouth, where the throat starts, was visibly red. I took the medicine, and the redness faded but yet my swallowing difficulty did not go away. With time I went to different doctors they prescribed me antibiotic for tonsilitis again of a different kind. Yet than, though I felt a bit better but did not see improvement swallowing. Recently I noticed my jaw is swollen in one sided, there's a lymph node swollen around my neck area, and I know my wisdom teeth in that very side is emerging where I have a canker sore which is not healing for 6 months getting bitten by the other teeth over and over. Now, please kindly suggest if this wisdom teeth can result in my swallowing issue and if yes, I am afraid my tooth will need extraction or not provided I feel bad taste in mouth, some fungus in my tongue as really on porridge. But other than that, no significant pain in wisdom tooth but I went for a doctor who just did a manual x-ray himself showing me my tooth is in horizontal position, but he was more into taking 4 of my teeth at once for money other than giving me any suggestion. I want to recover as I am really pissed of this condition of mine where I feel difficulty managing food with different elements all together as a whole e.g. I can have pani-puri but I can't have normal day to day food like cooked rice with potato or any vegetable or side dish :( even paratha is difficult. I feel it will get stuck in my throat and sometimes I feel my throat got too sensitive and the food sticks to the walls and I can't push and have to wait until gravity pushes them. I am still not sure if my throat issue has anything to do with dental issue. Please kindly suggest analyzing my story.

Hi. The reason for your tooth to crack can't be the lemon water. It was probably because you didn't have a cap on the tooth after doing your Root Canal Treatment. It's a common occurrence in most cases that don't put caps even though we suggest th to do so. Now that the tooth is broken, it may not be possible to restore it and the Dentist will most likely ask you to get it extracted. TC.

Thank you for the informative video Doctor, I got my upper and lower wisdom tooth removed on the left side 12 days ago and still have considerable pain, which is usually around my cheek bone, under my jaw bone, throat (sharp pain while swallowing, restricted to the left side of the throat), and around the ear and TMJ, and my mouth can open maximum upto 2 fingers wide, and that too, causes a sharp pain but it's bearable. Usually my pain tolerance is quite high. It has become better from what it was on day 1 after extraction but still very painful. My dentist says I should just keep stretching and should force open my mouth otherwise it will lead to trismus. But maybe I already have trismus?! I don't know how much should I force open my mouth as it is very painful, despite taking painkillers and muscle relaxant medications prescribed by my dentist and hot water fomentation. I am in India currently but flying out to Australia for 6 months and my stitches have still not been removed as I cannot open my mouth fully. I doubt if I will be able to see a dentist when I go to Australia. Is it going to be okay to let the stitches remain as they are? Will they fall out on their own? How much should I force my mouth open? Is it expected to take this long to recover? and how many more days do you think this will last? Sorry for so many questions, any help would be really appreciated!

Hey! Removing wisdom teeth is absolutely safe! Don't worry. Of course it's a surgical procedure so there will be some post operative discomfort but keeping them in place and suffering forever is not worth it. Just trust your Dentist and go for it. Hey! X Rays can’t be done while pregnancy for safety reasons 🙂 Extraction is not advised as it involves using local anaesthesia and this can be a bit tricky for pregnant women. Hi. Please don't be so worried regarding this. It can happen to a few people. If the tooth was situated deep within the bone and a lot of bone cutting was needed to remove it then yes after 24 we do expect some swelling intra oral as well as extra oral meaning on the face and cheeks. To tackle the swelling you will need some very strong medicines that should only be taken under your dentist's supervision and advise. So please do go for a follow up and let the Dentist evaluate the problem.

If extraction is not possible for you at present then you can just ask tbe Dentist to prescribe a short course of medicines that will tackle your pain for now. Hi Doc ! I got a small filling done on one of my wisdom teeth (lower jaw) 5 years back. It developed a crack over these years (chipped). Now I see a black line along that chipped wall of the tooth. It doesn't hurt and I do maintain good oral hygiene. Should I get this looked at by the dentist or should I visit once the pain flares up. Maybe a root canal can help save teeth in the long run as it has fully erupted now and helps me chew hard stuff. Any inputs on this from your end ?

Hey Priti! I think it’s best to have it looked it by a Dentist. Why wait for it to worsen when you can treat it while it’s still small. Save the tooth and get whatever treatment done necessary 😀

Sis I have seen in your video that you have suggest to use some mouth wash..I went to pharmacy the very next day n bought Glisterine that was quite good whenever it started pain i use hot water with salt n after that use that mouth wash n pain disappeared..when pain comes i does the same again n again..thankyou so much. It's a very subjective. Differs from patient to patient. One can wait untill the age of 22 to check if they erupt any further, else extraction is always an option.
