@@BuddhaWeekly it is more than helpful 😊❤ If it was not for this channel, I wouldn't be able to get this deep to Tara or guru Rinpoche , padmasambhava. I know the dimensions they represent but without any sound to relate to them, I wasn't able to work with. Mantras or sutras here, they are very well pronounced and the voices are well approachable. Sometimes, the voice gets me out of track, but here it is working very well. I am very grateful 🙏🏽🙇🏽♀️♥️ Even if sometimes I commented or I will comment in a way it doesn't look like. I just wanted to let clear that it is important the work you are doing. It is important because it helps to raise human consciousness, and this is the most needed thing in today's world. I think you'll find it in CC of this video and in the later, long version of this (our video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYGym6OOYs2Mjq8 ) we have it subbed line by line. For your reference, the entire Sanskrit (transliterated) is in the description as well, but I'll paste here: hūṁ | oḍiyāne vāyavye | padmakesarakāṇḍe | siddhir labdhātyadbhutā | khyāta padmasambhava | bahuḍākībhir āvṛta | tavaivānusarāmi | āyāhy adhiṣṭḥānārthaṁ | guru padma siddhi hūṁ || Mantra: om ah hūṁ vajra guru padma siddhi hūṁ At the end of 27 repetitions: iti gururatnasaptapadaprārthanā If you are looking for Siddhim characters or Devanagari, let me know. Thanks for asking. I don't have a direct link for you, too backed up, but for Sanskrit documents one place to search is sanskritdocuments.org/ and for Tibetan Sacred Texts I'd start the search at the 84000 project read.84000.co/section/LOBBY.html , who are working on archiving and collecting and translating both the Kangyur and the Tengyur. Hope that helps. In kindness, BW

I just saw the final part of your posts. How to refer a citation when knowing comes from within? Who we should give as reference, the pure consciousness which is everywhere all prevailing? This is a contradiction, how to be publishing these kind of content and then if anyone attains any of whatever is called to see, to know, to transcend the mind or merge with the source.... Then we need to use a citation for what it is spoken through us. I don't understand anything, but as the qualities I hold I choose to think it is for the ones who go against every single thing without reason. To prevent unnecessary debate on not related things. 😊❤ 🙏🏽🙇🏽♀️🙇🏽♀️❤️❤️

Dear Dharma Friend, We welcome your comments. Our citation request is meant for Sutra references or any "authoritative" comments. Sometimes commenters just leave a "No, you're wrong, the sutra says this..." type of comment without Saying what Sutra. Or they say, "Buddha said this: fill in the blank" but without saying where. It can be misleading and hurtful for people if they think commenters are quoting the Buddha, but we can't actually find such a quote anywhere, or worse, he said something completely different. It's helpful to cite in these cases, so people don't scratch their head and say "Did Buddha say that?" Our request is not really referring to commenters discussing their own experiences or anything like that, as long as the comment doesn't attribute it to "Buddha' or "Sutra" without actually saying where. (For example online, about 80% of "Buddha Quotes" are not real.) There's a website that does a series "Did Buddha Say that?" and most of the time it was a "no" when they checked. These quotes are very misleading, especially if someone is making an authoritative argument, and especially for people just learning about the Buddha Dharma. In kindness, BW

Well, it seems worse than I thought. I didn't know people have this assurance when they don't know. To me is unthinkable that for a channel like this (this is a top ten content what you share here) people would come with their ideas and some information they gathered anywhere to make an opposition towards any video. I must say also, I have done sometimes a fullest picture of what people post. But it has to be more with the comments I read than with the information shared. From my experience, the energetic work I do with the dimension we call guru and the source being one and the same, I have not doubt of the content shared in this channel. It is very accurate, I trusted since the first time it came to me , because I saw the relation with the source straight away. It is true what you said about Buddha. Actually, people think there is one Buddha and that's it. Thank you for clarifying that. I really appreciate it. Sometimes I get very hard on my comments, even I don't mean it. But whatever comes to me, what is given to me, it has to go out as it is. When I denied that my head just hurts. So, I learn when I need to share. I always say first. It is not important. Let it be. But if it is not coming from my thought process, if it is coming from somewhere else.... It won't let me be until it gets out. Very weird ways life finds expression out there. Thank you again and again. The work you do is important and well worth it. ❤❤❤❤❤🙏🏽🙏🏽🙇🏽♀️♥️♥️♥️

I do research on how and why Buddhism disappeared from Bihar. I realize it never disappeared. Please view the youtube video, 'Padmasambhava's life in India', and 'Niguma, lady of illusion'. and 'Tilopa and Naropa for his holiness The Dalai Lama.' If you have time you can view, 'Padmasambhava and Tara statues in Jora temple in Lakhisarai town,' and, 'First Tibetan Sangaram in ancient India'. These videos will clear doubts.

Would you tell us the meaning behind reciting 27 times daily?
@BuddhaWeekly Жыл бұрын
There is no wrong number (chant as many as you have time for daily), But for mantra auspicious recitations are normally 3, 8, 21, 27, 54 and 108, 1008 or more. (The 27 correspond with the quarters of the mala which are marked in some malas with a special bead -- so people can stop counting at 27 if that's desired.) Generally 27 is recommended for longer Dharanis where 108 would be a long daily practice (i.e. hours of chanting. Generally, it is preferrable to chant daily than to do long practices once in awhile.) 27 represents the faculties (senses): the combination of the 5 aggregates, the sense bases, four noble truths, and dependent arising: there are 22 steps according to Visuddhimagga Sutra, to which are added the five wisdoms. Importantly, this is one quarter of a full 108 mala, so after 4 days of practice or 4 sessions you count one 108 round of the mala (The significance of 108 is discussed in this Buddha Weekly feature on our website, ie. : buddhaweekly.com/buddhism-108-much-more-than-the-number-of-beads-on-a-mala/) . 27 is one quarter of a full mala (many malas today, notably in larger beads are 27. 54 is another common number for a mala. The significance of the auspicious numbers are: 3 is for the Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma and Sangha), as well as the 3 bodies (body speech and mind), overcoming the 3 poisons, etc. 21 is for the 21 aspects of mother Tara, 8 is for the eightfold path taught by Buddha, 27 is as discussed above, 54 is a half mala. Hope this helps. In kindness, the volunteers at BW.

Guys i have a question. Is it the same benefit if we just chant in heart ? What do before/after chanting so the merits will be beneficial to all? Before that, many thanks and peace be with you 🙏
@BuddhaWeekly Жыл бұрын
Yes, it's beneficial either way. Chanting out loud "blesses the speech" while "chanting silently" blesses the mind. This is a praise, so any language, silent or not is beneficial and wonderful. The before and after chanting, is almost always "Taking Refuge" (before) which includes refuge and Bodhichitta (loving kindness and the aspiration to benefit all beings). Then, with any practice, silent or verbal, formal or informal, it's always beneficial to "Dedicate the Merit." This can be the well-known Dedication chant (in English, Sanskrit, TIbetan or any translation). You can say it from the heart: "I dedicate the merit to all sentient beings." or you can use the formal chants. We do have videos with Yoko Dharma chanting in Tibetan both the Taking Refuge with Bodhichitta and the Dedication. Taking Refuge here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eaCrY4OFpLujgdk and the Dedication here is in the video teaching on Dedication.
