I do research on how and why Buddhism disappeared from Bihar. I realize it never disappeared. Please view the youtube video, 'Padmasambhava's life in India', and 'Niguma, lady of illusion'. and 'Tilopa and Naropa for his holiness The Dalai Lama.' If you have time you can view, 'Padmasambhava and Tara statues in Jora temple in Lakhisarai town,' and, 'First Tibetan Sangaram in ancient India'. These videos will clear doubts.

Namaste 🙏🏻 Thank you so much for making these wonderful Mantras available to us 🙏🏻I have a couple of doubts if I can ask - - Can we recite different Tara Mantras together? I first came across Green Tara Mantra and I find it very soothing.. but I want to pray for my good health, so can I also do the White Tara Mantra? - Can we do this and the other Tara Mantras together? - This is in praise of all 21 Tara Ma? - Are there 21 Tara forms or 5? - A person from any religion can chant them right? - I have come across different versions of the White Tara Mantra in different videos, how do I know which is the right one? For example, some say "Jnana Punye" some say "Punye Jnana".. which is the right order of the words? 🥹 I understand that somewhere "Svaha" and "Soha" could be a difference in the Sanskrit and Tibetan versions.. Do forgive this long comment, but, I am afraid of saying a Mantra wrong.. 🙏🏻 Thank you so much in advance for answering my doubts 🙏🏻🥹 A lot of gratitude to Tara Ma for all her blessings! She is indeed a Mother ❤ Thank you so much 🙏🏻✨

Namaste. Glad to try to help. You have a lot questions, which is good, but if you have a little time go to our channel @buddhaweekly or www.youtube.com/@BuddhaWeekly/ -- most of these are answered there and you may find more info of value. There are 700 or so videos now. Certainly glad to see Tara is reaching out to you. Yes, the most useful way to think of Tara is they are all one Mother Tara but she is beyond forms and limitations. She emanates in different forms as a way of communicating with us (using what we can understand the language of symbols). All 21 are still Tara, so yes, you can certainly chant more than one. I do every one of them several times every day myself, plus the 21 Taras Dharani praise. It's 21 forms -- (actually many more, but these are the main ones); the five colors represent 4 activities (white is pacifying, yellow enriching, red is controlling, blue is wrathful, plus the combination of all four (the fifth, which is green). You'll see that mentioned in the video linked below. Yes, anyone can chant Tara mantras. She is a compassionate Bodhisattva, and doesn't care if you're practicing Buddhism or another spiritual path or combination. She loves all beings. On Svaha vs Soha, this is Sanskrit vs Tibetan. It was originally transmitted in the teachings in Sanskrit, but by lineage teachings it's often transmitted as Soha. Likewise, some mantras such as Om Mani Padme Hum (Sanskrit) might become Om Mani Peme Hung (Tibetan.) (If you're not working with a lineage teacher, it's best to chant as per the written teachings, which would be Sanskrit, but either is fine. If you have a teacher, always chant the way the teacher transmits it to you.) Think of the 21 Taras as "supplications." Each mantra or praise is focused on a different issue and supplicates a different request. We have a video on this, as instructed by great Longchenpa, in which we not only have all 21 Mantras (spoken in this case for the purpose of educating) but also with the definition of each and what you're supplicating (and a handy time coded table of contents with all 21 Taras). It's called: "Supplicating Activity Mantras and 21 Taras Mantras: as Taught by Longchenpa and Padmasambhava" found here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYS3i3uAlM2dkLs That video also answers your question about the multiple White Taras. In addition to those six, there is Principle White Tara as well Here's a video with the 4 principles and 9 Tips of Padmasambhava for chanting mantras as well, which answers some of your other questions, called "How to Chant Mantras Padmasambhava's 4 Foundations 9 Tips from Teachers / Buddhist Teachings" kzbin.info/www/bejne/f2a9ZH2gZdGUmck&t If you're using a mala as your mantra practice aid (you don't have to) we have a guide for that as well: "Buddhist Mala Guru Rinpoche's Complete Guide: "Mala should follow you like a shadow" : kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6CunmiZaMZkZs0&t I think I touched on every point, but there is a lot more in our collection of videos, and if you don't it there, I'm sure you'll find it in the 1200 features on the buddhaweekly.com website. Hope that helps! In kindness, may Tara bless you, BW🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤🙏❤

@@BuddhaWeekly Thank you for answering! ❤ Such a lot of information has a little overwhelmed me further though 🥹 I saw the video with the 21 supplications that you shared.. But of all the White Tara Mantras mentioned there, none were - Om Tare Tuttare Ture Mama Ayur Jnana Punye Pushtim Kuru Svaha as mentioned in other videos of other channels 🥹 So which one is the White Tara Mantra for good health? 🥺🙏🏻 And is it "Jnana Punye" or "Punye Jnana"? 🙏🏻🥹❤️🤍 Thank you once again God bless!

Sorry, the Tara for long life and health and healing is Principle White Tara. We have a beautiful 2 hour chant of it (there's also a 108 repetition video): kzbin.info/www/bejne/gX-od4tpi9tqkM0 I chant this every day myself. You don't have to do 2 hours every day, but, of course, if you feel the need, chant longer, it's very lovely and empowering. I feel better just chanting it. If you feel the need for additional reinforcement, there's the practice of Three Long Life Deities, which are White Tara (this video) plus Ushnisha Vijaya (Namgyelma) . Her mantra is the "Victory over death" mantra. She is another aspect of Tara from Sutra, which we do have as well: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5arnIGVmcinms0&t The third of the three is Amitayus, an aspect of Amitabha, but we do not yet have a video of this. (Coming later this year). Of course, Medicine Buddha is highly recommended, also from Sutra, both the Dharani and the mantra, which we do have: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZOVe2mDjc6NsMU&t Medicine Buddha Dharani: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKOnin9-gNGdja8&t Wishing you healing. In kindness, BW 🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏

1 . Can we chant from here on even without transmission ? 2 . Any lineage follower can chant this ? Sorry for bothering with questions but I am kind of afraid of any transgression
@BuddhaWeekly11 ай бұрын
Thanks for asking, always glad to try to answer. This is Tara, so there is no trangression for chanting her mantra or Dharani (which translates as a praise of the mantra). Empowerment is only required for yogas such as self-generation (visualizing yourself as Tara.) Chanting the 21 Taras Dharani, or Tara's mantra, making her offerings, visualizing them in front you, is not only fine, it's recommended. People working their fields, chant this Dharani. Babies are taught this mantra and Dharani (along with the Om Mani Padme Hum). So, to be clear -- no self-generation, but the chanting is perfectly fine and recommended, encouraged. This is Tara, who is the most all-embracing of Mothers. I do always suggest, if you have doubts, to check with your own teacher/lineage as rules vary, but the guideline on 21 Taras and Tara in general is there is no issue (other than self-visualizing yourself as Tara). Hope that helps. Om Tare Tuttare Ture Svaha. By the way, the main requirement for ANY mantra is Bodhichitta. Without the Bodhichitta intention-- the wish to benefit all sentient beings -- it isn't a Mahayana practice, so that is always required for any mantra. In kindness, BW

Hallo! Is this the short version of 21 Taras? Is that from Atisha? And...is one recitation of this version the same as one of the long version? Thanks!!
@BuddhaWeekly Жыл бұрын
Yes, it is transmitted directly from Tara to Lord Atisha. As Tara taught Atisha, with faith, this is the equivalent of the longer version, especially for people who are too weak, ill, or busy to chant the longer version. In each repetition you are praising the entire merit field of 21 Taras and especially praising her powerful mantra Om Tare Tuttare Ture Svaha. Lord Atisha cured himself of a deadly disease by chanting this short praise until he was healthy. When the incomparable Lord Atiśa was staying in Nyethang, he suddenly became quite ill. He supplicated Tārā and requested her intervention. The noble goddess appeared before him and told him that to cure his sickness he must recite the Praise to the Twenty-one Forms of Tārā at least ten-thousand times in a single day. Atiśa replied that it would be impossible for him to do so and asked if there weren't another way. Tārā replied by granting him this extremely concise praise; coming from Tārā herself, this praise is said to be highly blessed. (Lotsawa House) You recite the initial prostration at least once: ཨོཾ་རྗེ་བཙུན་འཕགས་མ་སྒྲོལ་མ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ། ། om jetsün pakma drolma la chaktsal lo Oṃ. I submit obeisance to Tārā-she who is both exalted and revered. then the praise continuously: The praise in Tibetan is:
