My dad retired from Texas to the Southwest corner of WV. So beautiful, the Ohio Valley area, about an hour north of Huntington, off Route 2. Apparently the weather there is less dreary, lots of beautiful days, and cool nights even in the summer. They lived near Point Pleasant made famous from the events that led up to the movie The Mothman Prophecy So they have a Mothman festival every year. Sadly dad passed away in 2018, so I don’t get up there as often as I used to, but I drove the 1100 miles so many times that I don’t need GPS anymore lol.

I live in Virginia and we have lots of dangerous ice storms in winter... no fun believe me. I liked this video, I live in Va. but seem to have a fascination with West Va. 😊

WEST VIRGINIA HAS A HORRIBLE PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX.....If you have a boat and other personal items you are charged year after year extremely high tax prices every year !!!
