Remember that they did finish it before but it was a long, boring slog through bosses with very basic mechanics and massive healthbars that wasn't engaging or entertaining, so they never uploaded the footage. I said it on the finale of the last playthrough, but I'll say it again here: If I wanted to watch people be bored and frustrated and unfunny because they feel they must finish a game they don't want to play, I'd still be watching Game Grumps. If the bosses have been reworked and had their HP adjusted to actually be engaging and not just time consuming and tedious, then I hope they do finish the game, because there was some absolute gold in the last playthrough.

It's crazy to me that this playthrough is over 2 years old now. It still feels like it came out yesterday. There's something cozy about this playthrough that makes it feel cozier than the others. The eucs didn't take over the state. They do have the oil, it makes the fires pop and explode, lol. Part of the problem was they deforested the coast very fast, cut down all the redwood forests in San Francisco and Oakland to build the city, and then they needed trees that grow very fast. Eucs are actually great -- the real problem was they gave us some of the _wrong_ euc species. But weirdly, eucs are kinda rainforest trees, so outside of the really wet climes, they're not all that invasive. In the farmland you'll have a couple trees every so often as wind breaks, and they're basically no more of a problem than regular trees. But yeah, they're a pain in the ass in places where they're (1) fast growing, (2) good at excluding other trees, (3) oily and explosive, (4) constantly dropping bark and leaf litter, (5) grow back readily from stumps, and (6) ugly [imo]. OTOH, they're very much like California wildlife in that they're coevolved for fire, so iirc they're not that much more prone to fire than the chaparral that would normally spring up in some of the same range. Other nice things are they have a wonderful smell, the local animals seem fine with them, and they uniquely flower in the winter, which fortunately is also about the time the monarch butterflies migrate, so they provide an extra source of nutrition for them on their migration south.
