The Order of the Silver Hammer once tried to execute 13 false prophets at the same time, with one rope, but their leader got executed for Treason, and being crazy. Another Witch Hunter declared the use of hammers as heresy, and got killed by his own captain when he got found using one to build a scaffold. Yet another Hunter spent three weeks trying to burn a river with Holy Fire. I love the Witch Hunters.

Warhammer Fantasy isn't as grimdark as 40k. Warhammer Fantasy is more of a dark fantasy setting. Basically horror fantasy were heroes are allowed to exist.

Not really, for example Karl Franz is a damn good ruler. It is darker than most settings though.

In contrast to WH40K, there is still plenty of good in WHF. But unlike many other fantasy settings, it's not only black and white either, but comes in many shades of grey. The Empire, Bretonnia, the Dwarves, the Elves, and all the other factions of Order, are good factions. That doesn't mean that they are without flaws, however. Like the witch hunters, they do some pretty grim stuff, but ultimately are a force of good. There is still hope in this world. (We ignore the End Times)
