this island is sooo beautiful!! i love how you made an island that fits your personality rather than completely confining yourself to one aesthetic; i've been trying to do that but i've been struggling to make it look nice, and this really inspired me!! i love aesthetically themed islands, but i also love when you can tell someone didn't hold themself back from including things they liked just because it didn't match. this is so beautiful !!

how do you plan your island? How are you coming up with like where to put houses, waterfalls and stuff? do you plan the whole thing (decorations included) beforehand or kinda as you go? I'm planning mine but at the and it looks so seperated like here's a farm, there's a cafe etc. it looks like a lot of things squished together.

i do use a map drawing site (i think just googling 'acnh map designer' will show it) to know roughly were my tent, resident services and rivers/landscaping will go. that helps me sort of get a mental image of how i want the whole thing to 'flow'. you don't have to follow it perfectly, but i think it helps put you in the right headspace! decorations i just make up as i go. it helps to have one or two consistent 'filler' themes (mine was basically trash and boxes) so you can sort of put them in all your areas to tie it all together!

just breaks up the face and adds a cute accessory! i think otherwise it just looks 'plain' but who knows
