The way Lupa gushes over Charles Solomon jr., I have the feeling that CSJ is to Lupa what Reb Brown and Pierre Kirby are to Spoony and the Cinema Snob. I've never seen any of the witchcraft films, but these reviews have me very intrigued to say the least, plus the notion of this franchise lasting for 13 installments is simply mindboggling. Plus I'm pretty sure the quality drops ever so slightly with each successive sequel. However, it does make me long for the days of blockbuster and Hollywood video, when such films like these were readily available on the shelves for ones viewing pleasure. Granted I do love how streaming services encourage one to learn some digital trickery in order to search google style for what you want, but it will never replace the coolness factor of perusing video store shelves.

This is personally my favorite entry in the series. And also one of the first VHS tapes I ever bought from a going-out-of-business VHS movie rental shop. It's one of the funnier entries and the final battle where Will keeps smacking the bad guy with his cane is just priceless. And Lisa Toothman is pretty hot, I'm not going to lie.

I feel like the scene where the girlfriend asks Will about having kids *while wearing his mother's necklace* -> will runs away to a bar *could* have been about how those 2 triggers remind will of his creepy incest mom who wanted to have a powerful warlock baby w him and got all murderous when he refused. Will rushes to numb his traumatized brain with alcohol" I mean, that's not what we got, but at least I can imagine a version of this that doesn't suck.

My thought about William's mom/grandma wanting to make a new supreme warlock with him is that maybe there's training or stuff to become that that has to be started at a young age. William being taken away for so long caused them to essentially miss the boat on using him. Also, if she succeeded, she would have been that kid's mother, grandmother, and great grandmother all at once
