@@admiralamel9563 The Scoiatel by witcher 3 were fractured, non existant, their forces scattered and what attacks they carry out are nothing more than bites from pests. Iorveth couldve been found the same way with roche, secluded somewhere, with the men and women under his command long dead form attrittion. He didnt have to fit in the grand narrative the same way as roche does with the whole radovid plot, hes an elf thats become melancholy and lost, his hopes and dreams being dashed by the reality that the elves can never recover. There couldve been a quest where a small elven village is attacked by bandits, and Geralt is called in to help and save them, Ioverth could then owe Geralt one last thanks, and couldve been sent to kaer Morhen. He couldve faced off with Letho and Roche, and help with the fight against the Hunt, fighting elves not of this world, couldve been a cool dynamic

Watching in 2019 and Witcher 2 still looks great graphics wise. They really did do a great job with this one and hell even Witcher 1 was ahead of it's time when it came to graphics and dark fantasy themes.. One thing these games did well was pushing the graphics and alot of peoples computers as hard as they could. Makes me wanna go back and play Witcher 2 again.. lol Shame about the netflix show hope those pics of the armor were just tests because the sad looking dried ball sack looks terrible compared to the designs of these games..

The graphics were terrible. They doubled down on the worst cancer of new graphics tech where everything had glare coming off of it. Then for some reason messed with the contrast settings to turn everything this sickening orange and red. It looks like what happens when you played with the dials on an old tube tv.

I wish this one artists make an HD Rework like he did in Witcher 3 ;) The Graphics in Witcher 2 looks okay for me, but with a huge HD Rework it would be a very nice graphic ;)

It looks okay for its time and certainly better than some other 2010-11 games (I rather recently played RAGE 1 and holy shit that game looks like dog piss with the baked lighting and low res textures), but by today's standards or even Witcher 3 four years after this one's release, it has aged like milk. Doesn't help the characters have the exact same facial expression all the time because the animation system was pretty primitive, which is kinda sad, as I recall even Mass Effect 2, that released maybe a year before this, had better facial anims. Also I hate that stupid the ultra saturation the first reply was talking about, about as annoying as the piss filter from other games of the time like RE5.

Both paths are canonical. The soldier refers to Geralt who killed Foltest. Zoltan always mentions the good times of Vergen etc.

I chose the Iorveth path because at least you're greeted by a friendly gathering. Roche's path, you're greeted by a crossbow!

After Geralt promised Roche to help him find the Kingslayer, choosing Iorveth's path felt like a betrayal. It wasn't so you could choose whichever path to get to the ending. You started on one.

no it isn't a betrayal. geralt tells him he will find letho for him but will not become his personal solider. he owes him nothing. by the way roche uses geralt as bait in flotzam. that's a betrayal. plus geralt tells ves that he doesn't like sadists like him.

And how is Iorveth any different? He is a terrorist. He doesn't even pretend otherwise. He keeps telling you how much he enjoys killing humans. Or that he doesn't regret having a hand in Foltest's murder. Just having a bone to pick with the same guy you do, doesn't make him a trustworthy or suitable ally. And even if you do pick Iorveth's path, Roche still helps you get into Henselt's camp. Iorveth would have shot you on sight, had it happened the other way around.

I wish Iorveth was in Witcher 3 for this reason. I like Iorveth and Roche, they both have pros and cons, but the abscence of Iorveth makes me wonder what he's doing or trying to accomplish. Has he gave up on killing humans like Roche has given up hunting Scoia'tael? What would his new goal be? Unfortunately, we don't know so we've just gotta assume that he's dong the same, which is a shame.

He's different. Above all Iorveth is a terrorist because he has no choice and because of nilfgaard. Calling him a terrorist is retarded because according to your logic every revolutioner in our world was a terrorist. He doesn't say he wanna kill every human, he wants to work with them. Foltest was a good general but also he was a bad ruler. Glad he died. Iorveth belived me plus he goes to Vergen. Triss and Letho teleported there and Zoltan (the best friend of geralt) supports Iorveth and wanna join him. Roche killed those nilfs in Henselt's camp because they tell geralt political information about Loc Muinne. Later Roche wants to kill Geralt. That's why i didn't help him to rescue Ves and let Dijikstra kill him.

Mind you it's a great story and It looks ok with it's better action than most Netflix shows including The Witcher, but im tempted to just run every single scene end to end from youtubers like xLetalis and keep playing Witcher 3.
