1. She didn't learn witcher signs, since Yennefer stated that "they will not waste time for such nonsense", instead she taught Ciri real spells, not simplified version like witcher signs. 2. Bounty hunter Leo Bonhart, the one that killed all the "Rats", implied that he managed to kill at least 3 witchers by showing Ciri 3 medallions (cat, wolf and griffin), however it is never confirmed that he did that, especially in the fair fight. Don't get me wrong - he was an incredible swordsman with phenomenal speed and strength, but I have a hard time buying him defeating a real witcher in single combat. Witchers are described as super-humans in the book series after all. 3. The "revenge" of CIri on the frozen lake near Tor Zirael tower, - 3 people survived, not 2: Boreas Mun, Stefan Skellen and Leo Bonhart. Overall, great job summarizing Ciri's story.

For your 2. Witchers weren't described as "super-humans". They were just highly trained for sword fighting. They were faster, true. Cöen and Geralt both died to "normal" humans.. Only Geralt is "super-human" thanks to his extended mutations.

Correction: Ciri was not to become a Witcher, training her was just the only thing they could do for her, so they did. Even if they could, they didn't want to put Ciri through the trial of the grasses. She only says she's a Witcher in some moments of the book to encourage herself, but strictly speaking she isn't. Also you forgot to mention Ciri renounced magic, and therefore could no longer use magic. How much impact that has on her future as a potential sorceress wasn't clarified.

Ciri doesnt use magic mostly aside from her natural ability to blink but teleporting mixed with sword swings,potions and other tricksy shit is terrifying when you consider it. I may be mistaken but, I don't think Ciri ever left the King Arthur time/place. The very start of the Lady of The Lake is a flashback of Ciri beginning to tell Galahad about the events that make up the story in the book. I was under the impression that she had gone there after teleporting Geralt and Yennefer to the Isle of Avallac'h. The very end of the book/series is when Ciri is finishing up telling Galahad what she had gone through to get Geralt back (just to have him die) lol Sapkowski you're one hell of a rollercoaster bud. Correct me if I'm wrong though because I am actually curious if I have it wrong. Cheers!

imo Sapkowski's storytelling became more and more... hmm, let's say confusing/messy over time. First few books are easier to understand and follow, the latter sometimes leave more questions than give answers. It Seems (by the end) that the whole story, as seen by Ciri, was told by her to Galahad and that leaves us in a very interesting state: was it all true or just a storyteller's lie? Or partially both? Honestly that triggers me a bit, but this uncertainty is what makes the following witcher games lore more legit - as if Geralt didn't really die, and yes, I take CDPR story as a canon, even if it's not truly official.

That's a cool theory, but i can't help but think there are major parts of the story that don't make sense in that context such as the ending with Dijkstra heading east, the whole point of view from emhyr, the lodge etc. (unless by story you meant only lady of the lake, then I understand what u mean). I guess a supporting factor would be the series of "5 books" actually starts when Ciri becomes a major character in blood of elves, which confused me for the longest time as it's technically the first book in the "storyline" but it's really the third. thanks for the reply!

Emhyr's father was the emperor before a coup (during which he was cursed) forced him to leave. With the help of Vilgefortz and some friends he learned how to cure himself and managed to retake the throne.

Hey man, can't tell the exact age in numbers unfortunately, but she seems to be like 6 when they meet in Brokylon, and ends up about 15-16 by the end of the original storyline. It was never about her -exact- age, but the fact that she was just a little naive girl in the start and ended up becoming a killer teen that has seen some stuff

i think it was after the events of rivia where she carried off Geralt and Yen to a different time and space..it was left very vague though why she traveled to Avalon..my guess is a way to tell the story of the time and space traveler in a more interesting way..by the end of the books Ciri asked the knight to take him to a well known mage to help her get back..the books did leave alot of questions that book readers can only speculate on..we got the Witcher games because of it lols!

@@jaja1818 Well yes and no. If you read teh books especially lady of the lake carefully with some background knowlege in the authurian legends the ending is very clear and not at all open. Ciri is the holy grail and her riding to camelotte means the downfall of the empire. She isnt a world savior but leads to chaos by promising to bring salvation, power or love. TW3 completely scraps this layer of narrative and ignores it EVEN tho TW1 gets it right without ciri even being in the game (probably because sapkwoski worked on tw1).

It turns out that Duny and Emhyr are the same person. Duny was abandoned and cursed after his father was dethroned by the Usurper. But since Nilfgaard isn´t very liked in the northern realms he imposed as the son of somed lord.

It ends with Geralt and Yennefer dying. Ciri takes them on a boat, uses her power and leaves them on an island (with the help of a unicorn). If Ciri and the unicorn actually saves them, or if the island is some kind of afterlife experience I dont know. I guess its up to the reader. In my mind she and the unicorn saves them and leaves them in peace on the island (the island exists in another world). But then again, all of the above is told by Ciri to Galahad, as a story. And not everything told in a story must be true ...

What is very crucial to everything however is how CD Projekt completely scrapped the Ciri = holy grail analogy, which explains the reader ciris actual purpose in a subtle way. Also geralt doesnt actually die in the books, but the last one is up for interpretation (tho the wiedizim community doesnt thinks so and they really know what they are talking about). Btw. ciri being a promise for salvation but leading to chaos isnt up to interpretation. Its as clear as day if you pay attention. Glahad is on his quest to find the holy grail, finding ciri instead and riding to camelotte leading to the downfall of the empire.

Lol. Nilfgaardian politics are a bit involved. There is an old Greek tradition about their kings. And the hunt for same. The first is finding an training a warrior to be called Euconidor. Literally, ‘first Spear’. Then he must be proved. Ciri’s mother is an Imperial Princess of Nilfgaard. So off she goes, to venture, an prove herself after reigning for some years as Empress of Nilfgaard. (classified, of course) She goes off an becomes a Queen by her own efforts. But Imperial Princesses are acquisitive. One may note, possibly, that Ciri looks not that different from Geralt. In short, by blood, Ciri is half Nilfgaardian Imperial- from the throne, and the other half Witcher, by a boy who hadn’t become infertile at the time. She’s a Nilfgaardian Imperial Princess on one side, and Witcher on the other. But neither side claims who won’t. She could become the Nilfgaardian Empress, or a Witcher girl. But she’s also old blood, on both sides. A descendant of Aincient Lords, and her magic is basically astonishing. This tends to make her extremely valuable, or just very, very dangerous. One might think this makes her crucial to the story, but not all stories are about royalty. The Witcher is about Geralt.

The emperor emhyr var emreis was Ciris biological father so I guess he just figured he could still have her picture even though they don't have a relationship. Originaly in the books when Ciri didn't yet know he was her father he wanted to marry her (yes his own daughter) and produce an heir with her. That way he would implement the elder blood which Ciri carries from her mothers side into his own bloodline. Eventualy he gave up on this plan as he came to realize how fucked up it was. In Witcher 3 he's just trying to get her to succeed him and become the Empress of nilfgaard

He had this girl nearly die in a war he started, in forest, in a desert, become a sex slave to elves and evil wizards. Got her mother and grandmother killed.
