He uses a floor tom to his left, I heard in an interview that he did this once to compensate for a weak bass drum technique, "his Words". It enabled him to place what sounds like bass drum 8th notes here and there without crossing to his right. Turned into something special on this song though. You can hear lots of it applied in the earlier Cd`s....

@Amphrit3 Hey Matthew, I teach on my pupils kits, who each have different pedal types and set ups, and i can play equally well on each pedal. My technique over comes minor differences in pedal set up. Saying that though, having the pedal set up so it's comfortable does make the technique easier but shouldn't stop you learning it. Your foot size will have no effect what so ever but make sure your foot is placed on the sweet spot, about two thirds of the way up the pedal. Hope this helps you! Rob

They were Travis Barker signature sticks. I liked them because they were so thick and heavy...really damaged my drums though!
