Leena! A tip for your acai bowls. You said you like them thick, so you should try putting some kind of yogurt in there. I usually put almond milk if I want to drink it so it can have a liquidy concistency but if I want to put it in a bowl then for sure use yogurt.

Hey Leena, I have PCOS and I had gastritis also...I found out in the end after all the pain (it sucks, I feel you) that the cause of my gastritis was H-Pylori. You should get checked for that. I went on antibiotics for the H-Pylori for 2 weeks and then the pain and the gastritis symptoms were gone. All the best!

Idk if they noticed or not but in Omar's results under the Levantine category it said he was from Lebanon, Syria, and seven other regions (which could be other countries or just other cities in Lebanon and or Syria) and under the Iranian, Caucasian & Mesopotamian category it said he was from Iraq and in Leena's results under the Arab, Egyptian & Levantine category it said she was from Lebanon and Egypt and didn't say anything about her being Palestinian which is interesting since her dad is Palestinian. I wish Omar and Leena went into more detail about what countries and regions they're from like I've seen other people do in other KZbin videos but they sadly didn't😕.

My dna results are very much like yours. And I have red hair! Both parents must have the red hair gene for their child to have red hair. So our middle eastern fathers have red hair in their gene pool, too. Red heads are everywhere!

You should really consider doing the gaps diet to heal your gastritis. Its not long term buy it really does help with lots of conditions.

Salaam, I’m a physician, just wanted to comment on your gastritis. If it’s uncomfortable enough to cause you daily pain, would consider starting pharmacologic therapy like a PPI. And if your abdominal pain is not improved even after eight weeks of PPI therapy, would consider additional testing like an EGD. Hope this helps!

Thank you!!! I am on a PPI now for 2 months and I think it’s helping a little. I did have an EGD already. I just went back to my doctor and he thinks my pain is mainly from intestinal spasms, not gastritis :/

Cheers to getting back on schedule. It always feels the best when you feel like you have things in order, even if it’s just for a week. 😅 Btw don’t feel discouraged when Alaina doesn’t want to try certain types offood. There are days where my one year old will love a certain food and there’s days where she wants nothing to do with it. Our job is to just make sure we keep trying and offering.
