The message I feel gets lost in fear, it’s important to know that most of us watching this are in a negative place of fear, so when you say it’s about being happy our ears perk up but then when you say the “or else” it gets us back to fear. There’s a huge difference between “When you become the person you want to be and find happiness and fulfillment alone, it will act as gravity to those around you” And “If you fail to change who you are because who you are isn’t enough you will lose them” Please make a video on this ^^ The “or else” way of putting things isn’t helpful and doesn’t pump us up, it just scares us and makes us wonder more why who we are fundamentally isn’t enough

Because If you do it you're out of the depression and feeling desperate which your ex doesn't want. If want your ex back you have to force yourself to do this challenge of changing. And when you're at that point of happiness you can also decide if you even want your ex back or not. So when you see your ex you'll be so fresh and new she/he will want you because it's like she/he has never known you because you're a new person. That's what's attractive. Unfortunately this is some bs to go through but it's all part of the plan I just hate how hard it this has to be, wish there was an easier way.

I am in week 5 of no contact, my ex left me over a year ago but we reconnected this year and things got messed up because I was in a hurry and he's in a new relationship. Long story short, I am doing me. Searching for the girl I was when we met over 7 years ago, truly being happy again. I hope that he feels the same about me as I do him, just in February we we're crying and laughing and the love is still there. I don't see these types of videos but as you know this type of relationship can be very explosive and intense bc the 2 people were already friends. This type of relationship can be bad bc the old friendship part can get lost in the newly sexual very intense part of the relationship. It can be a emotional rollercoaster as the 2 people already care for each other as long-term friends and running buddies. It can be very happy at times bc the 2 friends already had love for one another. But communication shifts bc now they are not sharing info and always talking like friends they are sharing like lovers.

Well it's all about balance. You can still and should have your own goals and life when you're with someone. The tragic part is when you live your life through that other person and you become so dependent on them that you lose your identity. I've been guilty of that a lot but it's a lesson everyone has to learn. Nothing is more attractive than your significant other who has goals of their own.

So my ex and I have "technically" split up for almost a year and a half, shes moving to Hawaii and we're from Oregon. She says she'll be gone 6 months max. Does anyone think I have a chance? We've been hanging out and sleeping together basically thru the whole break up, and she notices moments where she sees the me she fell so madly in love with but still isn't ready for an actual commitment with me. Long story short, I got into drugs and took her for granted and hid my addiction from her.the last couple years of the relationship, and she stuck thru it a while but finally gave up. I'm clean now, and have been for a year, I'm making goals and doing responsible type things that weren't really my forte before. This women is my everything and the absolute best thing in this existence. I have acted a little jealous and if were being honest I'm sure I've come off a little desperate for her a time or two, but in the last few months or so I've really calmed down. She says if I'd like I'm more than welcome to come visit her in Hawaii and she'll be coming to Oregon every 3 months and wants to spend time together while shes back for the few days. You just need to keep a cool head. You need to exist in this "in between" space for a while - where you two aren't exactly exclusive, but the romance is still going and moving forward. We went to the coast yesterday with her and sadly I had a slip up with my use. i thought plans were getting canceled and that she may have been working on "ghosting" or putting me at a certain distance. And obviously i let it get to me, which i know i shouldn't have butttt unlike everyother time before. I voluntarily was honest and forthcoming, which is a new experience for her ha. Needless to say she was very upset but she remained very calm and we had a good crying heart to heart even though she wanted to take off. It changed her mind about coming over with our dog and spending one last family night together though. It just came to me but I remember my ex telling me she had started seeing a life coach when we were still together. At that time I thought it was a fabulous idea for her. She wanted to implement some good habits and have a mentor in her life. I still think that it's wonderful for her to have that for her personal growth. Now that I've taken a moment to step back and look back...This life coach may have played a part in the breakup since the relationship was long distant. Not to point fingers in any way, I know I played a huge part in this breakup. I guess what I'm trying to ask or say is...Could the life coach on her end maybe implementing some of same strategies or techniques that you use here? I think my ex thought that I took her for granted and just assumed that everything was fine in the long distant relationship.Obviously now I believe she wanted more of a commitment and to show me she was serious she broke up with me to get a reaction? The silence treatment seems all to familiar? The phone calls that went unanswered in the beginning of breakup...the texts that where not responded upon? Since I've been watching the videos here and worked on my personal development she has reached out. I just think that maybe an interesting dynamic could be happening here. The tug of war dynamic. Merci beaucoup 🌼 I'm not contacting my ex for two or three months now unless I need to move stuff out of the house etc but otherwise no contact. So true about shining your light ... I faked that for a month or so but burnt out ... it really does need to be real and motivated from a place of self care ... not to try make him want you back etc. I'm trying to gather the reins of self care now but it is hard. I'm a single mum and its difficult to carve out time for these things. But we all need to regardless I think as if we truly feel great our sparkle comes back and that positively affects everyone around you 💗

I need help! I was in a very extremely depressed stage in life for a few months and had an emotional affair. My husband was unable to forgive me even though i accepted full responsibility and feel super overwhelmed with guilt. He left me on Thursday and wants to go ahead and start the divorce process.. i never want to hurt him again, or anyone. The guilt is getting to me.

Hi Sam, I understand that the guilt is starting to get to you. You are seeing how those actions affected your husband. However, when you accept full responsibility for what you did then that is enough for you. It is not your responsibility for the decision your husband makes. Clear communication is key right now. After giving both of you some time it would be good to write a letter to him understanding the situation and showing him how things will get better. But remember, you are only responsible for you. could you guys do a video over an ex who is considering a restraining order? I did no contact for 30 days after being dumped, reached out and asked her to volunteer with me a couple of weeks ahead of time on a Tuesday and she warmly said she'd look into it so i left her alone until Sunday. I messaged her that Sunday telling her I wanted to fix things and she didn't reply. I realized I had to go into no contact once again but I wanted to show her things could be different (i was different now). I showed up unexpectedly to her house the following morning and we talked for 5 mins or so and I let her know I was going to disappear for awhile. The following day I left a letter at her place with all these things I still had that reminded me of her in order so I wouldn't have her on my mind all the time. She saw the items a couple of hours later and said that I was making her feel uncomfortable for showing up unexpectedly and leaving things and that if i didn't stop she'd file a restraining order on me. I haven't responded and I don't think I should as my letter says I am no longer going to try and force things between us but instead I was looking to move on from this heartbreak. As tacky and weird as it all sounds, I'd still very much like to be with her someday, once we are both healed, matured, and ready. I know I have to do no contact now more than ever but have you guys seen people who have been threatened with a restraining order or even gone through one actually get back with their ex? Things sound weird but I got mixed feelings from her being warm and kind on one day to cold and retracted on another, to this restraining order threat. Thank you guys for the videos!

Guys I am so down and out. My ex broke up with me about 3 weeks or so ago. We work together and STILL live together. Hes about to move out. But he still flirts with me and says sweet things and still relies on me for car rides etc.. is he using me? He said he needs time and space. My mistakes was I was an alcoholic.
