From a previous show, I thought Meri and Kody were going to a family hosted by one of Meri's cousins. Robyn had heard that Kody was going to be at the party, so she invited herself. According to that storyline, that was the first time Meri and Kody met Robyn. Somehow, we have heard LOTS of different versions/explanations of a LOT of situations!

Meri finally admitted last season that she doesn’t 100% trust Robyn, and it was based on the catfish incident and the question of Robyn’s possible involvement. She also questioned their “friendship” over the lack of interaction during Covid. I think her friend Jen has played a very big role in opening Meri’s eyes.

@@christineperez7562 Yes Kody is the largest problem, but Robyn runs a close second because she has been extremely manipulative with all other four involved but mostly in never letting Kody leave her house for much timeat all and other crap like wanting to sit on the porch in rocking chairs as grannies watching the littles play!! Before she was in she liked the idea of having people help raise her kids but once there the kids were lucky if they got close enough to learn the siblings’ names by memory!!! She maybe might have thought it was what she wanted but she changed her mind super fast. She didn't try starting a relationship with anyone but Kody and then I think she saw MyKelty as a means to having that child helper and she was young, naive and still a minor so still under her control per say! If not for that I don't think MyKelty would have been allowed to stay there. Plus there was the added benefit of praise and the perception of her being a great person for having done that. IMHO, but that is all basically guesswork, because I wasn't present and we cannot trust much of what is shown on the program because everything is edited to create a certain story line. Like post faked pregnancy, or 1 year before learning of separations, and so much more and that is just a small snippet of TLC’s doings, and on top of TLC, there was whatever lies Kody and/or the wives wanted to portray/say, like the “praises” for polygamy and the group they ‘belonged to’ etc. Was probably all at minimum tweaked some to make the group and the practice look better, which means they lied, and they created perception of the couples’ dynamic being one way when it was a different way in true reality!!! It all craziness IMHO!!

For me, it’s apparent that Meri was actually the reasonable responsible adult in the room. All the rooms. And also is apparent that Janelle and Christine trusted her to do the right thing when it came to the entire family especially in light of Robyn doing the exact opposite. They’ve said as much. And these are still grown women who made their choices in all of this for almost 30 years! Meri is an excellent scapegoat, she takes the punishment and asks for more.

Also he is 10 yrs older than her. He’s gonna be an old man and she’ll still want to go shopping. It just doesn’t work. I married someone 7yrs older he now can’t walk. were living off SS and his pension. Kody will only get SS and it won’t pay there utilities. You never know what life is gonna throw at you.

He will only get SS if he has paid in SS. If he has been working for himself and not paying in SS, he won't have any SS to draw from when he retires.

7 yrs isn't a substantial difference, especially once you get to your mid 30s. Things can happen to anyone, at any age for that matter. That's where love& loyalty enters the picture. Would getting a pt time job perhaps help you emotionally & financially? 😊

One of my childhood best friend married a man 28 years older than her. They are still going strong. He’s in his 70’ and is blessed with good health and they lead a busy lives. They spend time with their grandchildren here in Canada then they have a house in Scottsdale. They are always travelling.

Something to keep an eye on… Life Coaching as an MLM is popular in certain strains of Mormonism - i.e. Jody Hildebrandt. Jody was the protege of Thom Harris, a mental health practitioner high up in LDS - he also met with and trained Tim Ballard and Chad Daybell and Julie Rowe - Thom Harris is the guy who told the stories captured in the book Visions of Glory. Based on a recent upsurge on Mormon True Crime, Thom Harris’ messages are being used in the pursuit of coercive control. Meri may be a victim of this, and/or she may become a practitioner of it.

i like meri on her podcast with jen- you get to see the light side of her which was hidden on the show for so many years. shes way better off without the others even tho i love christine and janelle- i think there was just too much water under the bridge for them all to remain close. please give all the wives- except robyn who is an entity to herself- a break. they hung in there for too long - in my opinion. im glad that meri, janelle and christine can be civil to each other- they still have a "family" that they raised together. its too bad that robyn and cody did so much damage to so many members of the family

Mary really needs to have a conversation with herself and deal with the ugly truth and reality of her relationship with Robin and Cody. She was sorely used by both of them. Robin played her for filth and so did Cody she was never married friend she came in there with an agenda That she followed through to the end and that was to get Cody to herself, she won the booby prize because that’s all he is just really astonishes me that Mary cannot count one plus one and admit the truth that Robin was a lying sneaky, conniving, and deceitful Jezebel that saw Mary’s insecurities and weaknesses And played on them for a decade it was all about the money and Mary and the other wives need to rewatch this series, trying to remove their selves as their selves and maybe then they’d be able to see clearly. The only thing Cody misses is three women taking care of his worthless nonworking self. The only thing Robin misses is getting their money and spending it on her and that’s the bottom line of it and it’s hurtful, but the truth will make you free. It’s no shame on the three wives all shame on Cody and Robin were the users abusers manipulators and they deserve each other and the three women deserve to have a chance for real love, commitment and relationship with a man that has morals and decency humanity, and compassion, a man with a good character all of the things that Cody can never possess. I’m just so shocked that she would say that Mary was really hurt about her leaving the family. Will someone help her stop deluding herself this is crazy at this point, she’s trying to help other people get their self together and she’s not together,TO THINE OWN SELF BE TRUE💯💯💯💯

Meri has said that she has brought up bringing in the other wives , all three of them actually and some who never "made the cut'. She always says to Kody "That would be a good wife" and you are right she thought her and Robyn would be good friends and she wanted that because she didnt have it with Christine and Janelle. But it turned out that she wouldnt have it with Robyn either.

Mine too and I don't know why people are talking so negative against her. At least she wasn't a pot stirrer like Kristine was and wanting to hog all the attention. That's why Kristine couldn't stay because she wasn't the # one wife in Kody's life any more after Robin came along.

I can see Meri has forgotten about the way She recused herself from the family, the relationships with the women and her "husband" when she went online to have an extra relationship outside of her 'religious union'. She was rude to the women, she treated Christine like absolute garbage during her difficult separation with a minor child in the middle of it, she was rude to the kids by their own reports of her conduct, then she wanted pity when she separated and wants them to call on her? She lies a lot. All of them have put on the act for the show at one point or another, but Meri is Not what is defined as secure. She is still insecure. Instead of forming another cult like group and coaching, she should be enrolled in therapy and workshops to LEARN how to build self worth, esteem, hence confidence, Before she starts preaching. That's why they all in some ways are so obnoxious because they all preach before they learn and practice. Mykelti and Gwen are fine examples of the legacy of know it all's.
