It's sad that she was raised to believe this lifestyle was worthwhile bc despite everything you recapped, she wouldn't leave. That's the real tragedy. She didn't have to be as sad as she was or become a villain, but her beliefs and loyalty and complete lack of boundaries turned her bitter and resentful. That's no way for anyone to live. I hope she gets the support she needs to really see the bigger picture and that she doesn't bury her head in the sand on any of it. The only way to truly heal is to see it all and admit to your role in it

It probably bothered them more than a little, but with Meri being the first wife, she felt free to make all the decisions and run the show. I can see both sides of it. I have always felt empathy for the OG3, I think it’s sad how everyone acted as if Meri is the bad wife. If you have ever been in a relationship with a manipulating narcissist who is also a cheater , why is it so hard to feel empathy instead of judging them. Christine on the same season maybe the same episode said that was why Janelle's kids had a harder time when Cody stopped seeing them. She said it was easier on her kids except maybe Truely because he was hardly around once Robyn came on scene so it was a long time ago her kids got used to it.

We all have to give Meri a big pass. What a mess. I can’t imagine my husband marrying my ex sister in law, then the mom marring Kody’s dad. I truly believe Meri didn’t approve but Kody pushed it and blamed Meri on the hard beginning part of their relationships

Meri has had to deal with a lot of inner conflict throughout this whole thing. She has been working on herself for the last few years. I believe Kody manipulated the situation where all of the wives turned on Meri and made her out to be the "bad guy". Because she is such a loyal person, she took this personally and believed that she was an awful person. I would love to see a memoir by Meri - but only as long as it is completely honest. Was she abusive? What were the conflicts that turned everyone against her? How was everyone manipulated?

I always got the impression that Kody and Janell’s marriage was one of convenience. Janelle never seemed to be very jealous over him, not like the other wives. She didn’t ever seem to need him at all. I always thought she was to only wife who was in it for the family, not Kody. She wanted to have kids and make her own money. The other wives would help her raise her kids. I always assumed their tension was Meri being controlling and aggressive.

I never saw Meri as the evil wife. I think she has always had some mental health issues that should have been attended to a long time ago. I think it is too bad that she isn't friends with Christine and Janelle now.

While I don’t agree with the lifestyle of polygamy, it’s crazy that a person can cheat and be like nick canon with a dozen+ kids, not take care of any of them and be fine, but IF the husband was working, being responsible in all aspects of his life AND taking care of all of his ‘wives’, that’s somehow illegal.

Meri’s biggest mistake was divorcing Kody so that the twit could marry him. There was no way this was her idea and alarm bells should have been going off like crazy in her head. I think if the show continues it should be called “They were sister wives” and only have the ones who left.😊

I used to work with Jenelle at Nice Corp here in Utah. We were visiting and she asked me if I wanted to meet Kody and she showed me his picture. My response to her was that I was too jealous to ever be in a polygamous relationship and that it would be better for the family that I stay far away from it.

It is absolutely ridiculous that he wasn't put on the other children’s birth certificates, because to my knowledge there isn't any state in the country who makes it illegal for a married man to have children with women other than his wife, and to my knowledge infidelity nor adultery are illegal anymore either.
