About the game:
Instruments of Destruction features an advanced physics-based destruction system. You can demolish every structure in the game piece by piece. Crazy idea: Grappling hook attached to a bazillion balloons, the button for the release block inflates the ballons, and a laser from the main vehicle cuts the building so that it can be lifted.

I noticed that the grappling hook seems to launch the vehicle it is attached to forward with it rather than backwards like you would expect, so if you rapidly shot a grappling hook, theoretically you would be propelled forward with some speed

I think this is because the force to throw the grappling hook out isn't from the vehicle, it's a "magic force" created by the game, so the rope can pull the vehicle because the hook has effectively been thrown.

It's not really unexpected: The vehicle is attached to the projectile. Unless you are firmly attached to the ground (or the rope's winch has zero friction and zero inertia) why should the rope unwinch itself instead of pulling the vehicle forward?

Hey Scrapman. You said, that you try to make content that fits your channel. But if you ever want to play other games and make a video out of them you could just make a second channel. For example something like "Playerman" XD or just Scrapman2. I am okay with seeing other game types as well, just don't post CS GO gameplay. do grapple cables have collision? if so, then could you try to grapple like this and have a reverse thruster and side thrusters on the module that wraps the cable around the building? would need some logic to make sure the drone is hovering and only going one way around the building.

I made a super stable base, including two very stable movable axis (Pitch and Yaw.) No attachment glitches, no oscillations, hardly any wobble at all. You can build heavy stuff on top with ease. It's in the steam workshop.

I would love to see if you can use grappling hooks as a form of recoil mitigation. Like, make a superweapon that has absurd recoil, some grappling hooks set to fire into the ground at an angle, and see if they can keep you from flying off when firing the superweapon.

I did this a while ago (first thing i did with grapples). Just setting the grapples to max power alone is enough sometimes, they'll just spin and fly around the map crashing into everything at insanely fast speeds if they glitch out.
