That random bit of plastic with 50 circular holes in it looks to be the packaging for a 50 round box of small caliber handgun bullets. Those things are in basically every box of ammo so if you know anyone who goes to the range, you can probably ask them if they have some. They come in an array of different sizes, just like the bullets they're used to hold. (the only purpose they serve is to keep them from rattling around freely in a chaotic mess in the box, they serve no practical purpose to the end user).
@jamesring25692 жыл бұрын
It's from a 22 long rifle round box.
@libhranan2 жыл бұрын
James is correct, that is the insert in a CCI 22LR ammunition box. There should be piles of them in the trash at any public shooting range in the US, and they may even be available in more restrictive countries, because 22 rimfire is used for Olympic target shooting.

That orrery is fantastic! Large ones always make me think of the one in The Dark Crystal, as it was the first one I saw - and that one looks big enough for characters to do gymnastics on. (Wouldn't recommend it though, as with such large moving parts they're liable to lose some extremities to it.)

I love the orrery, I am doing a 1:18th scale diorama and my wizard has his alchemy lab, an armillary sphere, a telescope, various bones and a scroll rack or two, a medieval desk with a scroll rack integrated, and the quills and wax etc., I have lots of anatomical pictures and maps and charts and alchemical symbols tables, and I really think an orrery would top his "chapel" observatory off perfectly! (Theres a spooky alter downstairs in the main chapel and I even have a pet snake for him and a dragon which will eventually live on and in the chapel rafters. The Fantasy part is great because with magic, you can explain away any historical mistakes. I love the little jugs you made, I only wish they were a wee bit bigger. I do have those beads you showed because, with the addition of quilled paper, they do make lovely urns and amphora.

I like the orrery because it reminds me of The Dark Crystal. The shelves of potions and scrolls are great too. Besides a wizards study they could very well be a magic shop or apothecary. You say you're not a sculptor but clay is not the only medium for sculpting. You work wonders with your chosen medium. You've made it by hand, it's sculpted. sculpt /skʌlpt/ verb create or represent (something) by carving, casting, or other shaping techniques.
