I was disappointed I missed chatting with you at Mythic Con, but I did see your Baldur's Gate table, all I can say is; WOW! Your Baldur's Gate was fantastic, unless you see it in person folks, you cannot get how special it is. Wyloch you are a spectacular craftsman, well done! Thank you sir! Thanks for sharing this video, a nice departure.

As soon as you mentioned "The Menu" and the cheeseburger, I had distinct feeling where you were headed. Didn't know that it would be DMS's tiles, but I knew we weren't going to be seeing anything that came off a 3D printer. Whether they're inspired by OG terrain creation, painting, modeling, or maybe even starting up an OSR campaign after years (decades even!) of new RPG overload, the back to the basics smiles from many of us remembering where we started are pretty special.

The original 2.5 D tiles are definitely a good go to for a project. While you build out that initial dungeon to the exact specifications to the adventure, it is great to be able to reuse the rooms and hallways.

Yes indeed. I'm an artist for a toy line and do mostly Pro-work but a few weeks ago I busted out some anime versions of my old characters and it was so much fun drawing those crude things haha. These vids are always fun. I kinda wish every channel would do walk throughs. Every now and again its cool to hear and see some of the campaign.

I would not be where I am in crafting if it weren’t for your videos. I now build more three dimensional builds than when I started but I found all the other “mainstream dungeons and dragons crafting KZbin’s” (aside from yours) too intimidating to start. These 2.5D builds were what helped me get my family into playing D&D for a weekly game night. I now find the other channels less intimidating, but were it not for your videos, I would not have found my real passion for terrain and the lovely group on Facebook where I can share my enthusiasm and get constructive criticism to improve my skills. This is a really long way of saying thank you for making the beginner friendly content and showing everyone that it doesn’t take a shelf full of pre-bought terrain and miniatures to have a great time with the game and the hobby. You do great work in more ways than just the quality, my friend.

I’m happy you’re back and took your time with burnout! That’s great advice! Also, this campaign you’re running sounds awesome dude! I really like the idea of magic negating monsters that can be both a severe detriment or a great boon for the mission. It also rewards players to run around the map and interact with stuff during combat, while adding tension! Just amazing work!

FYI -- Volume of the Fireball is 33000 cuft .. so assuming the grid is 5x5 with a ceiling height of 10' that would be 132 grid square -- no rules fugding necessary .

That is a very nice series. I’ll have to look back, I can’t believe I missed it. Nothing wrong with the basics. I always mix both, 3D design, print, then classic materials from way long gone days. The movie was interesting.

Been printing lots of True Tiles for our group's campaign. I wish there were more to buy to be honest. The crafting stuff is cool, but as busy as I am, having the 3d printer running while I'm working and then getting our DM to paint the prints is way more practical for me at my stage of life.

I don't really play RPGs anymore and was more of a "Theater of the Mind" guy back in the day but I think these kind of cheap and cheerful 2.5D setups make more sense than something elaborate. You don't have limit your imagination to the tiles you already have because it's quick enough to build something new. They weight nothing compared to dental plaster and your friends don't have to feel bad if they ruin a tile by spilling their soda.

I in fact didn't enjoy the menu, it's up there in the aesthetic department and the food did look really good, but the shift in tone midway threw me off, it was like they started with the energy of "get out" but abandoned later. If you enjoyed it, I can see why, for me it was missing something by the end.
