Okay, I live in Europe (Portugal but I was born in the Netherlands) so I don't know the award (not that geography has anything to do with it I guess. But still! 😊 P. E. Rowe became a winner when I first stumbled upon Preservation Falls. I told the story in a nutshell at work at the office and blew my teammates' minds! The company I work for is San Francisco-based BTW. Let us spread the word about P. E. Rowe's Kappaverse!

I sometimes forget liking your stories after listening to them because I listen to when I wanna 'tune out' and leave my device on my night stand. I'm liking this one before listening cause I was eagerly waiting for your latest upload. So, I know I've listened to almost -if not all- of your uploads; but I loved the First Man(the hardcore war story) and I think it's an early upload of yours. So, what is your 'Verse gonna be called? My first week within getting to know your expanding Cosmos I thought of Kappaverse. Because that's the story and the 'way' I got into the the Battery. Much like the characters. 😊 ❤ Loving it! Now on to your new story. Thanx P. E.!
@RoweLit Жыл бұрын
How about the Transomverse? Since you were already on that wavelength before even listening 🤣So funny you were thinking about The First Man, and who should appear today! The next playlist will be the other assorted stories from the Greater Battery, so maybe that's a good starting point, but it's entirely possible the answer to your Kappaverse question will present itself in an upcoming story. Hope you enjoy this one, Holzman! Thanks for lsitening!

Wow, this might be the best one yet! I'm loving how all these characters from your other stories are showing up and yet it doesnt feel cheap or forced at all. It all fits so naturally. I'm currently going through the 'West battery' playlist. Would you say that's the ideal way of listening?
@RoweLit Жыл бұрын
Cheers, Adam! Glad you're enjoying 😃 The playlists are definitely a good way to go through the catalogue, though I don't think there's a right or wrong way. They are in chronological order (or I do my very best to keep them that way anyway). So it helps to keep from getting too lost in the galaxy, which is also not such a bad thing 😂
@Pettstarable Жыл бұрын
@@RoweLit yeah I get the feeling you could pretty much listen to any story almost at random and come away happy with what you have heard. Ther first story I listened to was Garbage Rock so and that's the first time I heard of Clem. Also bit of a change of subject but do you primarily write Sci-fi? Or do you do other genres also? You seem to have good knowledge of the science behind in your stories. I mainly read fantasy books, Lord of the rings, Wheel of time, the cosmere etc. I'm just wondering if you'd ever venture that way. Or if you have done anything like that before? Anyway thanks for the reply and keep up the good work. I'm genuinely amazed that you dont have more subscribers. I believe your stores are some of the best I've listened to.
@RoweLit Жыл бұрын
@@Pettstarable Thanks, Adam. I started writing literary fiction, wrote a little sci-fi, and then went and studied fiction writing which more or less required that I write literary fiction exclusively for a while. I got back into sci-fi a few years ago and have been writing it almost exclusively since. I've never gotten much into fantasy, though I do love mythology. I'll be working to grow one story at a time, and if they're good, I have faith that the channel will grow. One thing being a writer teaches you is patience, whether you want to learn it or not 😂

Too much narrative. Advice for good writing is, "don't tell: show!" The challenge for a good writer who needs to convey a lot of details to the reader is to find a more enticing method other than a data dump. Once in a while Rowe writes well, but mostly subjects us to a massive data-dump, like the beginning of this story.
