Trying to understand his cheats. The “hand in your homework!” Cheat you have to hit him with a wand hit from your school? And then with “pop quiz” you have to hit with the opposite school he makes your aura? Also is the whole dream dungeon solo?

What am I seeing here? How did this guy get 100k he with his wizard? I'm assuming it's an ice wizard.

The part where my health switches to 10k seems to be a feature of this specific battle, but it can come across like a glitch. I wasn't on my Ice wizard when recording this, and I guess KingsIsle thought that it would give all players a chance at beating Merle Ambrose by increasing their health. It looks like these health increases happen whenever Merle wants you to use a spell to reply to his command.

@@NebulousNova where did you get that wand that has multiple school spells in it?

@@batman5194 I got that wand from the Zafaria Safari pack in the Crown Shop. All those times I had the different school wand hit spells was because you are given those spells for a round (they replace everything that is in your deck for that round) when Merle Ambrose tells you to do certain things during the battle. My wand doesn't have all the different school's hits like how it looks in parts of the battle, but there are some wands with a a few different schools' attacks that you can get in the game though, like the Flashing Dragon Spear from the Phoenix Hoard Pack.

@@NebulousNova by any chance do you know how to initiate the scion of ice quest? I'm level 130 an still can't unlock that mission so I can get that ice tree.

@@batman5194 It's been some time since I did that quest, but from what I remember, you have to get through a good amount of Empyrea, and eventually you are given a quest to become Bartelby's scion. Without spoiling too much of what I remember, you have to go back to Ravenwood to get and complete this quest, and towards the end of it, you get the Scion of Ice spell. I also remember the Scion of Ice quest being a main quest, so you hopefully shouldn't be able to miss it.

When it comes to the context, as far as I remember, Mellori (the daughter/creation of Grandmother Raven) got put into a sort of coma (for lack of a better word) after Grandfather Spider took her energy/essence earlier on in the game. Grandmother Raven, Grandfather Spider, and Bartleby are the main ones who keep the Spiral (the "solar system" of Wizard101 worlds) in balance. Grandmother Raven and Grandfather Spider are fighting against one another at this point in the game though, and the destruction of the spiral seems imminent, and your help is requested to stop this from happening. To this end, one of your jobs is to help get Mellori back to her regular self. One thing you are tasked with doing is visiting Mellori's memories, in which you experience multiple sights which you had by this point become familiar with when playing the game, but in a distorted form, as a result of you having been "tainted" by learning Shadow magic a little further back in the game. This tainting is the reason that you see an evil version of Merle Ambrose when you travel through the memories shown in this video, rather than the regular friendly Ambrose. In the video, Mellori asks the Auroracle (the all-knowing being) questions about her upbringing and destiny. Then, during a conversation with Bartleby, he mentions how he's sick (for reasons related to the Raven and Spider conflict), and tells you to keep trying to help Mellori. A memory of Mellori not doing her homework unexpectedly turns into a standoff between you and Merle Ambrose, much of which consists of you being asked to answer various magic school and class participation related questions during combat with him. Upon exiting this memory, the curator warns how being able to harness shadow magic has caused and will cause problems for you, as you are fighting against evil creatures while possessing a mastery of a school of magic that is normally associated with these individuals. I'm mostly explaining this based off memory, so there may be some small mistakes, but I'm confident that a good amount of my above info is accurate. I know this is a pretty detailed response, but I saw it important to explain both what the context behind the video is, as well as what is actually taking place in it.
