I've soloed balance. The first 50 levels are an insane struggle sometimes,but once you reach 50 the school becomes a lot stronger and better.

I soloed balance all the way until khrysalis. I have 111 damage on my balance with 35 universal resist. I can tell you almost every boss fight on azteca and Avalon will be you close to dying. It's pretty challenging.

i shield stacked against bosses in later worlds and stacked feints when it seemed relatively safe to do so. like when they burned all their pips. super tough fights sometimes but a fun challenge!

this is going to be an interesting walkthrough because of the reputation that the school of balance has, it requires more strategy than any other school and that will inevitably make some things difficult

I’ve been a balance since I started playing about 2 months after the game first went live. Because of the odd hours I play I’ve done more things solo than in a group probably and all I can say is good luck. You’re gonna need it for the early game.

Spellements are indeed leveled locked. So you'll only be able to upgrade them slowly as you level up. Definitely looking forward to this when you start the struggle XD

Looking forward to the start and to seeing how Riley works out. Without crown gear, there are a lot of visits to the Bazaar but that's okay, though it is really nice to get a crown wand.... hopefully some of your other wizards saved a few baby wands :) Have fun with it!

I still use snappy that aoe so nice to have at low level and when the shad aoe isn't available Wallaru spell is my go to now but it helped me throughout, I also solod balance as a full attack and tbh except for a few bosses was smooth sailing just longer

A couple things: You won’t be able to use the Lore spells until level 50 because of needing school pips and arch-mastery being unlocked at level 50 I have a harpy pet on my balance that gives Lycian Chimera, basically the special counterpart of that Hydra spell

you can use them prior to 50, theres a cheap jewel u can buy that gives 1 Arch mastery, and bc no mobs under 50 have the stat u basically always get it

people say it’s really hard but honestly with the aoe hydra pet the one you got. i was able to solo most everything you just gotta buff a little more before you hit but you have decent resist and health to take a few extra hits to buff a round or 2 more. you could easily do it.

Obviously you are a veteran in wiz lol, but I will just say: Balance is my favorite school and isn't really that hard to solo (some balance bosses can be annoying). However, arc 1 with the amount of times the enemy uses weakness drove me crazy. That being said, enjoy the run!!!!

The difficulty will increase once you hit mooshu so I would suggest going with a secondary school that can hit balance mobs and bosses like death or myth.

Your gryphon pet is good for mob fights but I recommend making a second pet for boss fighting. Specifically make it have willcast hex, proof, and damage talents. another thing you should do is when you reach around level 54 or 56, go for full power pop gear even if it means sacrificing 7 damage on your ring/athame. unless you are able to kill mobs with sandstorm turn 1, you are gonna want to do this. after that you simply can empower turn 1, and power nova turn 2. this is equivalent to sandstorm+mass feint. far better than blading turn 1 and sandstorming turn 2

Learnean Hydra is a great aoe spell for arc 1 balance just to get through balance enemies.
