in the scion fight a fun thing you can do is bring mass feint and then proceed to deal with the fire using a fucking fire cat the same turn the storm was about to use thunderbugs.

Cloak is robe. Robe is in the hall of heroes. I would recommend you wait for novus to come out. Merci gear is not required anymore and is too hard to get.

You dont need the rest of the gear, especially now that novus is out. The video didnt cover amulet or deck, those are worse than bazaar decks / dragoon amulet.

no. And you won't encounter anyone in the teamups who is willing to NOT do the flee strategy. So unless you have friends to help you stay the entire fight and hit through a damage cap bubble and the duck with 90% brace then sure you can stay in battle. It will just take you 3x longer which by then you'd already be in another run if you did the flee strategy which is fastest.
