Hey Ed i found your channel a week or sp ago and i just wanted to thank u for archiving all of this rare video synthesis / video art / broadcast animation online ! These vids are really invalubale to me as a self-taught hybrid video artist / freelance animator and huge early cg nerd haha ! Went thru all your videos in a few days and learned so much ! Just wanted to let u know how influential u and ur colleagues' work has been for later generations' work. Thanks so much ! ☺️

Hey Zach, thx for the thx! I’m at the SIGGRAPH Conference in Denver now while reading your reply, always trying to keep up with the latest CGI tools and projects. I am currently Chair of the SIGGRAPH Pioneers group, and put out lots of content in that role now. Google “SIGGRAPH Pioneers” and you’ll find a link to our Online Content page where there’s lots more about CGi history! Also check out my website www.wizardsofhollywood.com. Good luck with your video art endeavors! -edk

Wow, Ed this is a fantastic tape! Somehow Videke Sorensen rings a bell... can't quite place her though.

@@edkramer-cgihistoryexpertw3493 I think I may have met her briefly at a Siggraph in the 80s. She was working on Sun computers doing video art which I thought was great and made me want to do computer art for TV.

Hello Ed, I'm a teen looking for some answers on an abandoned CGI Project from the 1980s. Seeing as you were active in the CGI scene in its timeframe, I was wondering if there is any way I can contact you to ask some questions? Apologies if I seem blunt, and I completely understand if you are apprehensive. Cheers, Jack
