AEW Fight Forever vs WWE 2K23 Finisher Comparisons - Which is better?

Welcome back, in this video i compared the finishers of aew fight forever with wwe 2k23 finishers and moves. One did motion capture for the moves and one is completely hand made animation. Which one you prefer let me know in the comments section and do like the video.

WWE 2K2 has simulated graphics and animations. It’s top tier graphically, matches feel great as well. AEW has an arcade pick up and play fun style of play. Graphics aren’t amazing in some cases kind of bad, but it’s cartoony in a sense which makes it great in it’s own right. Gives off a crash bandicoot/Fortnite kind of aesthetic. If you are gonna comment and say AEW is better than WWE that doesn’t make any sense WWE2K has so many years under it’s belt and has way more money to do way more things. They’re two different kinds of wrestling games. Some prefer the simulated approach and others prefer the arcade approach. AEW essentially feels like a fighting game where you have to kind of practice with your characters (like MK, DBZ, Tekken) to get great with them. WWE is more of a simulation where you can feel like you’re having a match. It’s just preference. But honestly to say AEW is better is a lie 2K has more money to do more. 2K is missing things that AEW gives and AEW is missing things 2K gives. Give AEW what 2K has and it’ll be amazing. Give WWE 2K what AEW has and it’ll be amazing. They’re two different style games you can’t compare. You compare WWE 2K with games like FIFA, NBA 2K, MADDEN. You compare AEW FF to games like Def Jam, No Mercy, older WWE games etc. They’re literally DIFFERENT.

There's more impact in AEW Fight Forever, but I still prefer WWE 2K23 overall. Fight Forever desperately needs more wrestlers, creation tools, moves, and match types. I will say the sound design, especially the crowd, is top-notch in Fight Forever. Oh, and I prefer Fight Forever's camera angle.

Fight Forever hands down. It's a blend of the cruncher/impactful sound effects and the fact the animation behind the moves feel like it had more weight to it.

AEW Fight Forever might have been the first wrestling game I have been addicted to playing since SvR 2007. It's like a hybrid of No Mercy & Def Jam Vendetta.

Man idk I most definitely like 2k23 way better. It feels and just plays way better then AEW. The gameplay in aew really feels chunky to me. Overall I regret spending 60 on it. Never felt that way w 2k tho

Aew is mindless button mashing arcade fun with bare-bones content. 2k23 is strategic simulated fun With waaay more content. It’s just a matter of which you prefer.

You can even win a match without using a finisher which is the bad part even for an arcade and That price is way too high for all the lacking content too. Only two very short modes is not enough and there’s just so much more that’s lackluster

In terms of game modes I prefer Wwe 2K23 but in terms of graphics I much rather prefer AEW: Fight Forever

I can't get over the Cartoony look of AEW: FF. I love that they made a game, though, the animations and the circle effect when they hit finishers. I don't like it. The moves in AEW also lose the weight of it for me because of the cartoony animations and character design.

Panama Sunrise - Tie. 2K23 has an overall better animation. But Fight Forever has better impact. Blackout - Fight Forever. That WWE animation is old as hell. Folding Powerbomb/ Release Powerbomb- These are technically different versions of the move. There is a version of the one Wardlow does in the 2K games. Dudebuster/Strong Zero - Fight Forever easily. That Dudebuster animation is pretty old. Slingshot Lariat/ Buckshot Lariat - Fight Forever. Not even close. Snap DDT/ DDTay (Hammerlock DDT) - Slightly different moves. Superkick - Fight Forever. This isn't the usual Uso Superkick. 2K, what are y'all doing? 630 Senton - Tie. Ricochet and Sammy perform the move slighlty different. And much like I don't have a preference between their real life versions, I have no preference here. Feast Your Eyes/GTH - 2K23. Sammy's version looks awkward in real life. Unfortunately, that awkwardness carries over to the game. TKO -Fight Forever. Judas Effect - Fight Forever. Not even close. Batista Bomb/Beast Bomb - Fight Forever. I *hate* that version of the Beast Bomb! LeBell Lock - Tie. It's the same animation. Omega Driver/Awful Waffle - Fight Forever. Not even close. Power of the Punch/Dynamite Diamond Ring - Fight Forever. That Power of the Punch animation has been the same since the Raw vs. Smackdown games. 😂 The Accolade/Game Over - Fight Forever. Brainbuster - 2K23. Although, I'm sure the Fight Forever animation is also in the 2K games. Glam Slam/Jaded - 2K23. Beth performs the move better in real life. It kind of carries over to the games. Sleeper Hold/ Queenslayer (Rear Naked Choke) - These are different moves. Riot Kick/ No Future - Tie. I'm pretty sure these are the same animation. Package Piledriver - Fight Forever. Hammerlock DDT/El Idolo - Tie. It's the same animation. Scorpion Deathlock - Tie. Same animation. Unprettier/ Killswitch - Fight Forever. One Winged Angel - Fight Forever. GTS - Fight Forever. Swanton Bomb - Fight Forever. Emerald Flowsion/ Town Business - Fight Forever. They really had to stick Gunther with Cena's version? 😂 Lost In The Woods/Sole Food - Tie. Black Mass - Tie. Same animation. Twist of Fate - 2K23. I like the kick before the front facelock. Wheelbarrow Facebuster - Fight Forever. One looks like it hurts. One doesn’t. 450 Splash - Fight Forever. Curb Stomp - 2K23. Chokeslam - 2K23. Walls of Jericho/ Liontamer- These are in fact different moves. The difference has been acknowledged in both companies. Spinning Backfist - Fight Forever. Springboard 450 Splash - 2K23. The collision physics are off on the Fight Forever one. Busaiku Knee - Fight Forever. Seated Meteora - Fight Forever. Fujiwara Armbar - Tie. Shining Wizard Knee Strike - Fight Forever. Last Shot/ The Boom - Fight Forever. Props to Yuke's for creating a version in that position. Cross Rhodes - 2K23. Red Arrow/Black Arrow - Tie. I think the Black Arrow animation is new. But they both look pretty close. Beast Bite/Brutalizer - Fight Forever. Rikishi Driver/Fénix Driver - 2K23. Both wrestlers put their own spin in the move. However, I prefer Rikishi's version. Final Cut/ Final Reckoning - Fight Forever Scorpion Death Drop - Fight Forever. That brief pause makes all the difference in the world. Seriously. Spear - Not a fair comparison. Who equipped Christian with Jacqueline 's old Spear anination instead of Edge's? Drill Claw - Fight Forever. Death Rider - Fight Forever.

You must have never played a fighting game before. They always have some visual effects to add to the impact of moves. It's a video game, not a simulation. Personally, I would have added the rainbow coloured explosion effects from the old Dynamite intro.

Ik 2K wants the moves to be 1/1 and since Vince has made it his business to make moves as safe as possible certain moves in 2K look just that; safe.
