This is a small thing, but something I dislike about AEW: FF is that they don't have full entrances, plus I hate having to spam buttons to kick out. I prefer the more skilled meter which is the timed meter 2k has.

its old school wwe games, its how smackdown vs raw, wwe no mercy is like elders these days grew up loving it thats the path aew goin by, more gameplay less graphics i agree on entrance but i also like that u can play with the pyros, these the time of games we need more when it comes to wrestlings games, more gameplay than the graphics this is real wrestling games like or they can balance the graphics and gameplay, i prefer gameplay more thats what wwe2k series lack i can say aew can do a lil bit better its still fun to play

@@gabrieleanselma6944 both games are good but very different. WWE 2K23 has a great CAW suite and lots of gimmick match variety. AEW FF has superior in-ring gameplay and more environmental physics. It also does a better job of making each wrestler feel unique, but it has less gimmick matches and options. Important to note also that AEW FF is not a "yearly" release, so it's meant to have long term DLC support. 2K23 on the other hand will only be supported short term, and then it's off to the next "yearly" release (2K24).

@@AztecUnshaven not superior, just arcade gameplay. It’s smoother because the physics is cartoony and less realistic. It’s actually more all over the place with no true build up nor technique for the W. You can win a match without even using a finisher in fight forever. Environmental interaction is actually about a tie if not more superior in 2K as well, especially with weapons. It definitely has fantastic arcade gameplay, don’t get me wrong but it’s really subjective, depending on if you want a more realistic experience or just mindless fun. It’s also important to note that the developers just gave their word and that’s all we have to go by until we actually see if they deliver and so far they have not. all they’ve done is giving us an irrelevant ass mini game so their credibility is a bit sketchy at the moment. With the amount of content that 23 has, they have a hell of a whole lot to give in FF. If you actually have the game, then you should know how bare-bones it is.

@@angelserrano9049 I have the game yes, over 80 hours in, and I'm still discovering new layers of ring control and distance management. I also have played plenty of 2K23. Fight Forever simply smokes 2K23 out of the water in terms of ring gameplay. I'd argue that Fight Forever actually has more "sim" layers in its gameplay than 2k23 does. The smoothness isn't just because of the "arcade" design goal. 2K23 often lacks real "impact" and "selling" of moves in a realistic fashion, due to the engine's dependence on motion capture only. The reason the strikes and slams of Fight Forever "feel" more impactful and realistic is because the devs focused on hand crafted animation. This allowed them more freedom to "sell" the moves in a more brutal way without risking injury to MoCap actors. This is also why each wrestler in Fight Forever feels more unique. The downside to this though, is that it takes the devs much longer to implement each wrestler to the roster, because all the animations are being made from scratch (this is also why the Fight Forever roster is much smaller on launch than 2K23). Overall though, I applaud the Fight Forever devs for taking the hand crafted route. It's been over 15 years since a wrestling game took this route (HCTP, Day of Reckoning, Def Jam and No Mercy), and many of us missed this style of gameplay. I always feel in total control of my wrestler in Fight Forever. With enough practice, you can Chain wrestle, reverse strikes, grapples and finishers, whiff punish dodge, play mind games with wake up attacks, control distance, break guard with well placed power strikes, etc.

As someone who prefers AEW over WWE, I think it is time to face the facts that WWE 2K23 is an objectively better game than AEW: Fight Forever. Let me be clear, AEW FF has CRAZY potential, but the execution and the bare bones content disappointed me so much. I can't stop imagining what the game could be if all of their efforts making those mini-games were placed in making other match types, creation items, and more character models instead. Amazing video as always, WizeBan.

Can't compare a company with 70 something games made seen the 80s to a 1 game company. :) WWE will have the better game for a long, long time. The AEW game is fun and brings back memories, but the 2k series is another monster.

Comparing such a bad game with WWE 2k23 doesn't seem fair to me, AEW Fight Forever is bad in practically everything, I bought the game and played it for just an hour and that was enough to see that the game is terrible and has several problems, and meanwhile we see the company releasing dlc's which I personally consider a lack of respect for those who bought the game, instead of solving the problems that the game has they are releasing dlc's....

You got several things inaccurate here in the video. A few examples are ladder finishers, you can do that in AEW FF. You can also do Finishers on tables, with way better impact on AEW FF. You can also place ladders and tables on corners in AEW FF as well. You can even place them in the middle of the ropes.

Aew ff do requires some improvement like community creations , better pin system and caw morphing and more match options but the gameplay seems better imo in aew ff than wwe 2k23 because in wwe 2k23 it is very boring, most of the time i m just downloading caws and trying them that’s it

2K was right. Visual Concepts as the developer is better than sharing with Yukes. Yukes got stale, not modernizing wrestling games. Visual Concepts improved WWE 2K with lighting, entrances, and moves. My biggest peeve with Yukes? They always messed up SCSA's entrance walk and Stunner animation. Visual Concepts fixed it around 2K22. Finally accurate.
