Hi Vicki & Mark….I’m 77 and I started eBay a year ago and I have 2 booths at an Antique Mall. I have various health issues which prevent me from doing all I want to do (disc and hernia issues). I love your videos. I always learn. I have a BS in Elementary Ed. And a Masters in Counseling. I’m retired….but work physically & mentally very hard. I pack as you do, and I’m in full agreement that Church Sales are of the best value. I have several sets of glasses, and I know they require a lot of research. Hi Vicki and Mark I have started my bootcamp just 5 days ago. I have had some serious health issues. As a result I quit doing much of anything on Ebay for 6 mths. Then as i got better I still wasn't listing. But then I started watching your boot as videos. I can't thank you enough. I have learned so much from you! In addition I am encouraged that I am at it again. My sales have picked up significantly. Two of the sales were Christmas items. You have reminded me of the fact that i started my store because i love the thrill of the hunt and the income it provides in retirement. My sales are hit or miss like yours but this is my first summer, so nothing to compare to. My money pile is on the table and they are item that I keep passing over because they need extra work like testing they are silver, need to buy new watch batteries or I need to do video's to go with the photo's. I have stopped picking up item that need extra work, I am keeping on top off the new items. Also my project has been bringing in more filing cabinets that I use for my inventory, which means a lot of moving around stuff in the garage and in Arizona that is hot work even first thing in the morning. I am making progress 😊.

Hi Vickie & Mark!! I have so many things to say, I will make it brief!! *Once I had a customer purchase an item but not pay. After a few days I sent a payment reminder (as I always did but no longer do) and I guess that enraged him and he started threatening me with explicit, detailed sexual violence!! I immediately reported him, cancelled the order and blocked him!! I was literally shaking!! *I agree with listing Christmas items! I list them all year long!! Wednesday I listed a Karen Didion Santa and he sold within 24 hours for an amazing profit!! I have also sold Christopher Radko in the last month! Christmas sells year round!! *I have not been able to participate in your boot camp because I have grandkids almost everyday. In fact, my listing is little to none. I do list an item on occasion. Started the boot camp this week but didn’t quite hit 25 this week but got 20 listed. Took photos of about 35 items so will continue to list. Have one sale already! Also did some store clean up / reduced some prices. Forgot to add that I have stopped sourcing since Memorial Day weekend. My death pile is huge! I don’t need anymore inventory. No room left in the garage.!!

Hello, Started the boot camp two weeks ago. The first week I listed five new things each day. But I do not go to garage sales that often as I also make things to sell on Etsy. So I decide to make at least five changes every day to all of my stores each day. Such as changing the price a little, or updating the pictures. This has been working. I went from selling once or twice a month, to a making a sell every other day. Love your channel! Also, I learned that I did not have a store. Only a sell account. So today, I just got a store and I am setting it up. I was wondering where all of those maintenance things were that you were talking about. Now I have them too.

Hi Vickie - just had a question and thought for a video. For eBay sellers who do not pay for a store on eBay, what are the advantages of having a store? A lot of resellers don’t mention this but the only way you can easily have sales is if you have a store. I know there are coupons for free supplies from eBay. Any other details you can share? Advantages vs disadvantages? Maybe you already have a video with this topic?

Enjoying ur videos! U r really good with the research! I have 4 small glasses with thick bottoms but they look like possibly a juice or water glass…is this possible? They r 4 1/8 tall by 2 3/8 wide…no markings on the bottom. Any ideas?

Thank you! As to the glasses you have, I would use Google lens and take a photo and try to match it up. It can be challenging to identify clear class. Just because it has a thick bottom doesn’t necessarily identify the brand. I’m sure there are many manufactures who have made glasses with thick bottoms. These particular glasses had a pattern to them so they were easier to identify. But we use Google lens all the time to start our search. although, Ebay has a photo option to snap a photo of the item and search inventory, it rarely works for us with glassware.

One says they are anchor hocking annapolis and one says waterford but they look like the ones u have but narrower like a juice glass. I do find glassware difficult to identify! I'm still working on my first variation listing. Haven't gotten to watch this episode yet but had a question on the variation listing once again. Almost complete (YAY) but now under variation it has a red bar down all the sub listings that says, "Duplicate custom variation label.". What I have is salt and pepper shakers, two of them are Arizona but one has flowers and one has the Grand Canyon. Could that be what the red bar is talking about? The 2 Arizona listings? I can't find a way to edit the name of one of the shakers to check it out, do I have to just delete one of them and rename and re take pictures to put in it? I'll be so glad when this variation is finished and accurate but looking forward to doing the next as well. Like you said, the first is the hardest?

In variation edit, create two new variations but name them slightly different ex: Arizona Flowers and Arizona Canyon. Delete the two that say “Arizona” in edit. Proceed to the next page where you insert photos to each variation. Hope this helps.
