Thanks for the video, I have watched Beaver's older video's and wish I would have watched yours before ordering the 3mm shaft version that does'nt fit with the motor mount. Im going to order a center shaft kit from Aliexpress. Do you think the one in your link is the older version with the 2mm shaft? Thanks again!

Yea I have the older model K969 that use the 2mm drive shaft. Many of the newer versions are the 3mm shaft and sometimes its hard to tell which one you're getting on AliExpress and also some 2mm versions are bad quality so take your time looking at which one to buy, check peoples reviews to see if people are getting the right one.

@@AirToGroundRCFPV I have the older k989 , had to Drexel and drill the 2mm hole out to get the bigger bearing to fit but it's not right and ended up taking the bearing out. Not really right so ill make a order with aliexpress. What do you think about the mini z awd diff ? I have sinohobby metal diffs but thinking about the kyosho ones. Thanks again for the videos.

@@js9232 If I remember correctly the Mini-Z diffs are usually designed for a narrow chassis so since the K989/K969 are wide set chassis your stock CVDs won't reach. You will have to get the extended CVDs to allow them to reach it.

You probably bought the newer version of diff housing, for some odd reason Wltoys changed the diff baring size so now the newer cars differentials aren’t compatible with like miniz diffs

I can definitely see them do something stupid like that. Its really annoying since they look just like the old version so how else would I have known until I tried to use them and found out the hard way lol Thank you for pointing that out I really appreciate it. I'm gonna have to be more careful I guess in getting any other parts in case they slightly changed those too

I agree why fix something that didn’t need fixing. I only found that out because I watched beavers hobby channel review the newest 1/28 wltoys and he mentioned that in the vid, but yea check it out if you wanna see what else has been changed I can’t remember fully off the top of my head Love how the build is coming along too🔥🤌🏽

@@Zero_Zero705 I probably watched that vid of his and just totally forgot about that and when I ordered the housing I don't think the description said it was for the newer cars but then again I could have over looked that detail possibly. Oh well more work for me now since I will just dremel it to make them fit anyway. Thank you for watching though, I know it seems like the build is taking forever, it's mainly because of trial and error, changing my mind constantly and finding time to even get to work on it but I will complete it eventually lol

i just bought a 284131 and used all of its og bearing when i upgraded the diffs, the deff housing, and an acwxa rwd kit. i think it really depends on specific models because i noticed its just only the 989 thats going through these changes

@@DxeNvtsukii Yea It's hard to tell unless you own every version and can compare for sure but definitely something to be aware of if you try to upgrade any old versions with new parts or vice versa
