That thing is looking good! Nice job on that build, it's definitely unique compared to other ones I've seen.

This is so cool! Not sure if i just didnt catch it in the video, but what kind of transmitter and recievet is this, im on a tight budget and was wondering how this can be so small. Ive had issues adjusting endpoints on stock controller, so thinking of using a microcontroller or a new remote

Yea I mentioned it really quick sorry, it's the RadioLink RC6GS V2 transmitter and R7FG v1.4 Receiver. It's a 7 channel Rx that I took out of the case and desoldered all of the pins. You could use the R4FGM Rx which is smaller and only 4 channels since that's all you really need. I don't think you can really adjust the end points on the stock transmitter which is a big reason why I swapped out all of the electronics in the first place. I don't know how expensive the RadioLink transmitters are now since I got mine for around $60 over a year ago so check the internet for the best price.

@AirToGroundRCFPV is end point adjustment really needed? Could the same effect be produced mechanically through the steering mechanism, and would one of those blue 9g servos be an upgrade over stock Thanks so much for your help
@AirToGroundRCFPV
@AirToGroundRCFPV 4 ай бұрын
@@soapy5343 I burnt the stock servo out because I couldn't adjust the end points. The replacement 5g servos with metal gears that are the same size as stock are more robust and work fine for me, that's what I ended up using in the end so you might be able to get away with out end point adjustment with the metal ones. The 9g servos technically are stronger but they are much bigger so it's harder to find a spot on the chassis to make them fit but they are not that much stronger to choose them over the metal 5g servos in my opinion. If you are going to stress the servo like I am you pretty much have to use metal gears, the plastic ones won't last, 9g or 5g.

Hey man, great vid and love the look of the P1 body on it. I'm looking forward to your electronics breakdown videos. I have a dumb question but I honestly can't find any info elsewhere on it from a video from 2024. the R7FG transmitter has a gyro built in which can be controlled by the RadioLink Transmitter, can I ask why it's not being used and an additional aftermarket one is instead?
@AirToGroundRCFPV
@AirToGroundRCFPV 3 ай бұрын
Thanks bro, just hang in there for those vids since I have a few LDRC videos I'm gonna drop first then I will get back to my K969. I have a lot of videos to make and it's hard to find the time. So with the internal gyro on the R7FG, the reason no one uses it is because it's a terrible gyro, most gyros built into receivers usually are. I guess if you have no other option you can use it but you're not going to get good control out of them unfortunately, it sucks I know. Originally I was thinking of using it too in the beginning and then did my research as well as testing and it's a waste of time so that's why I don't bother with it. Yea there's not a lot info out there about it but when you do find some that have tried it they come to same solution. The best cheaper option for external gyros for these RC cars are the DasMikro gyros since they are half the price of the better ones and works almost just as good as them. I'll try to cover some of this in a video down the road when I can.

@@AirToGroundRCFPV hey man thanks for the detailed reply! 😀 Drop the vids whenever you can dude, we watch them for half an hour but the setup and editing that's done in the background takes much longer, I'm subscribed anyway 👍🏽 ohhh now that makes alot of sense now, I've only just picked up my k969 the other day after 13 years away from the hobby, I'm determined to make a nice indoor drifter for the rainy days 😎 I'll go for a gyroless radiolink rx for my RL transmitter and I'm thinking of going with the AFRC GYS-2 gyro since they seem to be quite popular or would you say the Dasmikros performance is good enough? The hard part will be sourcing a Supra MK IV body and putting a bodykit on it, I'll probably CAD it up myself 😅

@@Shaktical_Airsoft No problem bud, glad I can help out. I always plan on making my vids shorter but once I start getting into the details it gets dragged out lol The K969 is fun but a huge pain to get it the way you want, I mean it took me like a year to get this one where it is. You can still get the receivers with the gyro and just not have the internal gyro on, they work fine and don't interfere with the external. The R7fg is good but the smaller R4fgm will do just the same as long as you don't need more than 4 channels. The DasMikros are good for their price so paying twice to get a little more performance is completely up to you, I don't want to tell you how to spend your money. And bro, if I could find a Supra mark IV I'd be all over it too especially would want a wide body kit for it lol 3d printing them is tough but possible and it sucks all the Mini-Z Supras are gonna be over a hundred easy since there are collectibles now. You could get one of those Tamiya model kit Supras that are 1/24 scale but you'll have to do a little extra work to fit right on the K969.

@AirToGroundRCFPV appreciate the work you put in man for real. I say let the vids be as long as they need to, we all need to learn to have longer attention spans lol I realised that you spent so much time fiddling and dremmelling away it's a lot of work but tinkering is half the fun of the hobby imo 🤷🏾‍♂️ I think you may have sold me on the dasmikro lol if the 'performance' really bothers me I'll switch it up, I am really interested in getting a supra body somehow but yeah I heard about these tamiya kits too, I think I can get away with a printed resin body with bolt on kits, it might work with what I've been doing so far, if I make it happen and it works I'll hit you up so you can print one for yourself 😎 also maybe a liberty walk Lamborghini Aventador too hehe
@AirToGroundRCFPV
@AirToGroundRCFPV 3 ай бұрын
@@Shaktical_Airsoft Dude you are speaking my language haha resin would be much better, I only have pla and tpu stuff I can print so it's not as good for me. I want an Aventador so bad as well but Kyosho won't make a Mini-Z version of one for some reason and if you could do the LBW kit on it that would be sick. I would buy one from you if you could make that happen lol You are spot on with the tinkering being half the fun, for me it's almost most of the fun than the final product since I enjoy the challenge, work and problem solving that when I actually complete it I'm like, now what? lol I've been like that for years even when it comes to my dozens of micro quad and drone builds, I just wanna build stuff but I do love flying them fast and crazy as well. RC cars is my second hobby so I'm not the greatest drifter but if I have time to practice more I could get better. I would say I'm a better pilot over all though lol Nobody really cares about drones any more and everyone loves cars so I stick with that for my channel at least for now and for some reason my vids always reach a half hour when I don't plan for that, it's like a curse haha

Where u buy the body shell?
@AirToGroundRCFPV
@AirToGroundRCFPV 3 ай бұрын
It was a Mini-Z P1 GTR white body shell that I got off eBay for around 30 bucks. Then I got the wide body kit from Garage Hiro and glued it on, after that I painted it black and blue/turquoise color shift. I 3d printed the GT Wing myself, the whole build was a long process. I cover how I added the body kit in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/qIfLkKCebJaKmbc

It's hard to say how much it costs. I got most parts off of AliExpress and designed and 3d printed the other parts myself. It's a one of a kind build that took me months to plan out and finish. Sorry man, and some of the electronics I got over a year ago and were much cheaper then than they are now.

@@filipshinigami7263 I appreciate it bro, This thing took me so long I was wondering if I'd ever getting working lol and I'm happy that P1 GTR body came out good because the wide body kit was not easy to install with out popping off from flexing the body every time I put it on the car. It's just nice to see all the work I put into this thing pay off, I just wish there was an easier way to help others achieve something similar with out the huge hassles I went through.
