It is a breakup song in order to understand the pain that is being expressed you need to know the history of BTS. These men have been thru everything together spent countless hours and made monumental sacrifices and at this point in their career they were questioning if it was every going to pay off. Can you imagine 7 young men sharing i bedroom going to high school and college far way from your family literally spending 8-10 hours practicing singing rapping and dancing, and not having enough food to eat at times. Can you imaging doing this for years and it seeming like you aren’t getting anywhere nearer your dreams. If you watch This is BTS by xCeleste or Rise of Bangtan you will understand. It’s not just a break up song it’s a song about a family falling apart. BTS is a brotherhood bound together by their blood sweat and tears.

Personally I prefer their Outro Tear Wembley performance, their delivery hits you emotionally. You need to know BTS as artiste, their brotherhood, the hardship they endured coming from a humble beginning to who they are now to appreciate most of their songs... hence to Army (the fandom) Outro Tear is not just another 'break up' song. BTS writes, composed and produce almost all of the songs in their discography. They are a group of a very multi talented & inspiring men that exudes positivity not only through their songs but them as individuals. May I suggest you react to introduction videos on BTS ie 'Introduction to BTS' by XCeleste, 2021 updated version or 'Nobodies to Legend' for a better insight of who they are...and to ease your reaction for their Korean songs, you could go over the lyrics at the end of the video. There are also few sites that translates and explains BTS songs. Army do not mind long reaction anyway, we want you to enjoy BTS!

My top recommendation for you based on your comments is "Blue & Grey" because it has a nice melody and a slower rap. J-hope's solo songs are usually melodic rap and some of his songs are chill and slow. Check out "Airplane". RM also has a slower song called "Seoul" and I love Suga's "First Love". But before all that, Suga's "Daechwita" is a must. For songs with a nice melody, maybe check out their Tiny Desk Concert, a video with three songs. The vocalists' songs, whether together or as solos, usually have nice melodies too. Truth Untold, House of Cards, Zero o'Clock. Some solo songs: Christmas Tree, Winter Bear, Promise, Stay with Me, Awake, Stay Alive, Scenery, and many more.

Tks for your reaction, what i read from RM is that this is a very emotional song for all them, was writen by Suga, sharing feelings and regrets thinking on what would be to disband after what they got through untill then as a group. Suga even shared that the first time he sang for the members, because it was made for them, they all cried together. The way they performed in Wembley was so emotional, cause , even you can´t get the lyrics in first place, they can transmit all the pain they felt while performing. After that , when you get the lyrics, you can understand why. Its one of the most authentic and moving performances i watched.

I’m glad you liked it !! The musicality and the performance of this song is amazing but the lyrics just make it. They really portray just how much the group and music in general means to each of them. They love each other as family and have said many times that they want to continue making music together for as long as they can and even after that they want to stay and grow old together. They have the kind of relationship that a lot of people dream of, myself included. As I’ve seen a few people comment, maybe it would be better to watch a colour coded lyric video first so you can get a general understanding and then watch a music video or live performance. Or even if it’s just a music video, you could watch it once without the lyrics then go back and watch it again with closed captions on Just a thought, can’t wait for more bts reactions!! :)

This song was written for the members when they were considering disbanding as a group in 2018 (btw, it's my favorite song in the entire BTS discography). SUGA composed the melody and the rap line wrote the lyrics even though SUGA had a large part of the song written. Suga said: “The lyrics for ‘Tear’ were written for the members. When I was writing the melody, at the time, we were deeply contemplating whether we should quit or not. When I played the song for the members we all cried together.” Rm said tear as in crying . Suga said tear as in being torn. And Jhope said fear the fear of losing and he sum up crying and being torn in just one line. THIS SONG IS HEARTBREAKING! In an interview RM was asked which song he likes the most in the BTS discography and he said this song, he also said that he thought that all the members would say the same answer because of the meaning of the song. the first guy was RM, the second guy was J-Hope, and the last guy was Suga. also they each have their own mixtapes as well if you guys want to check it out,,I recommend Suga's mixtape, he releases his own music under the name Agust D and the mixtape I recommend is self titled called 'Agust D' in that album there is a song called "the last" where he talks about his struggles and it's such a good song but any song on that album is a great listen if you're interested!

The beauty behind Outro:Tear is how each member tackled the issue differently. Tear was actually used in 2 context: tear (from crying) and tear (torn to pieces). The hook goes, "You're my tear (cry)... you're my tear (torn)... you're my fear..." Those symbolized different emotions that each member represented. RM's verse tackled tear (cry) and expressed his sadness, some remorse-he feels like he could've done better (he most likely felt more burdened since he's the leader) and he was also in denial. Suga's verse was tear (torn/rip apart) which expressed his feelings of hurt and there was resentment in his verse too since there's a little sarcasm in his lyrics. JHope's verse was the fear of separation and there's a defeated feeling but also acceptance that the end has come. So, when you look at the whole thing, the stages of grief are actually present in the song, from denial to acceptance. It's beautiful because the song didn't just focus on one emotion but rather, it is a journey in itself. Also, notice how the song ended abruptly. I believe it is meant to evoke the same feeling caused by a split up-when something ends prematurely. And you feel tired after the song too, like you really went on a rollercoaster of emotions. They do that often with their music. They don't just produce music because it sounds good. They make sure that the music is telling the story too. That is true artistry, in my opinion. I really suggest reading the lyrics first to get the gist of the song. I recommend doolsetbangtan (wordpress) website because there are annotations to explain what the lyrics mean. BTS is known for their message and impeccable lyricism; and most of their songs are written by these 3 rappers so it'll be a shame to listen to a BTS song and leave it at that without checking the lyrics. :)

Save your breath. The problem is not BTS or the choice in video. Think about their lukewarm, closed responses to BTS in relation to their ridiculously enthusiastic responses to Blackpink. They're not as clever as they think they are. Move on 😪

This song was actually written about how they almost disbanded so it's not a romantic breakup song, but it's very personal to them. I think if you like slower rap and more flow-based you guys would enjoy J-Hope's solo stuff from his Hope World album.

And adding on the "breakup" thing, BTS has done some songs about romantic relationships in the past, but as of 2015, 2016, you won't see that kind of subject in their discrography anymore. When they talk about love it's usually about love between them, friendship, family, anyway, the kind of love they have, and for the fans, and also about self-love. I recommend you watch the music video for Fake love, it's the perfect song for you to understand a little bit what I mean, because in the members' own words, it's a song that can be interpreted as, mainly, about your own love for yourself , as well as the feeling of love more generally, in different ways, between two or more people, which makes the meaning of music at our discretion.

Ok in order of delivery it goes RM, J-Hope, Suga. When Suga played this song for the other members they all cried together. The live from Wembley Stadium w/J-Hope wearing Dior is the iconic version. Also the song Let Go with the whole group also was written at the time they were contemplating disbanding.

If you're able to please check out lyrics video before live performances or we don't mind if you watch the video twice, first for performance and then to read lyrics until you get to know their voices. We sometimes watch video multiple times to get full meaning that's why BTS gets a lot of views, not just to support them.

OUTRO-Tear This song gradually saw the light of day while BTS went to that point in a long period of hard work and hard conditions, and with the great popularity and fame that came along with the success, it must have been mentally exhausted and difficult due to the endless schedule and people's expectations. This song was made when they considered disbanding.

I've been watching your reactions to bts and I don't know if you guys are just generally understated in your reactions or if you really don't like bts all that much - which is fine, everyone's musical tastes are different. I tried watching some other videos to get a feel for what you guys like but the only group that I saw that you guys seemed to like was blackpink and yes their music is very different than bts. BTS has a diverse catalog and their music is beyond kpop but I really don't think bts is for you. There are lots of other kpop groups for you to check out, including blackpink or other female kpop groups as well that may be more to your liking. Good luck. I would recommend something but I don't have a good feel yet as to what you might like.

oh gosh I honestly I really was trying to focus on the lyrics and trying to watch your reactions.. but it is very important.. I hate to suggest this but it may be good for you guys to watch a lyric video because it at least will narrow it down to music and lyrics, and maybe appreciate it more. also you mentioned it seems to be a break up song (and trust that ARMYs at first thought that too) but this song is for the members and SUGA (the one with Supreme headband) who wrote the song, let the members listened to this and they cried together, bec it was created during the time when they did think of disbanding. So when we learned about it years later it totally changed how ARMYs view the song. but thank you for taking time to react to Outro: Tear!
@sajwahazad97222 жыл бұрын
This song wasnt a breakup song for the guys. This was started and partly written by Suga (the one with the supreme headband) he wrote for the other members in the band at the time they thought the bad was going to break up. They cried when he first had them listen.

The last part Jhope's part always got us, you can feel the emotions. It's really hard to read the lyrics at the same time watch the performance, that's why if you really want to know the lyrics well, I suggest Lyric video and then the Live performance. Their parts are different in chorus part RM= 'TEAR' the teardrops SUGA= 'TEAR' ripped apart JHOPE= 'FEAR'

Oh you guys are just getting started…BTS has over 300 songs in their discography of every genre. It is impossible to not find a BTS song to vibe to. I highly recommend you watch BTS 2021 FESTA ROOM LIVE . It is a 10 minute medley of their songs from each album from 2014 - 2021. You can see it on BTS official you tube channel with the closed captions set to English or watch on Bangtan Subs KZbin channel which also translate the dialogue in between the songs in English as well. Also try watching the lyric video first or read the lyric translation first before watching the actual performance. That way you will already have a sense of what the song is about and you can concentrate more on the actual performance versus reading the captions

@natashap65842 жыл бұрын
it technically is a “breakup” song but not really the type of breakup you thought. like the guy said in the beginning, this was written when bts were thinking of disbanding so the lyrics are directed toward the other members. they have been with each other for over a decade through thick and thin and they love each other a LOT. they’re family. it’s an incredibly sad song when u read it from that point of view knowing that they’re each other’s worlds and disbanding would shatter them.

This is not a breakup song. As an Army, this song break our hearts. Suga wrote this song bc they were going thru some difficult time when they were thinking disbandment. BTS music is not for everyone. Their music and lyrics are very complex. If you guys like simple easy music then BTS music not for you.
